This is actually a huge game because we get DET one more time @ DET.
If we can win here and play them close there or even better win both, that would do a lot for this teams confidence.
I believe this is where GA will make his return. 2nd quarter.
He should at a minimum be dressed and on the bench available if needed.
That would get the crowd going, give the Wiz a lift and get into DET heads a little. I would expect he comes in off the bench to start the 2nd quarter. He should be held to less then 20 mins.
If he is going to be ready for the West Coast game at Portland Tues then why not have him dressed for Sunday at home ready to come in off the bench for his return. The crowd would go nuts and beating DET would a nice confidence builder going into the playoffs. We have beaten everyone else that's in the running. @ ORL, CLE, @ TOR, and BOS in back to backs
He practiced again Thursday so by Sunday he should be ready to start his return. He needs to get started as soon as possible because it may take some time for him to get it going. But if he is going to be shooting less, he could mix in quickly. Bosh just returned. His approach the first game was to just do all the little things and focus on D.
Point is, to beat DET we need more then one one handed PG. Having 2 PGs is something we haven't had all season.

Actually the mojo would have it that the MIAMI game is now a danger too. (Pray for health...)
EXCEPT! It's a valid topic of conversation-- we might be able to save this thing if we merge quickly with the 'All things Gil' thread. Swiftly! Before the gawds of basketball notice the cardinal sin of 'looking ahead' and violating the precepts of cliche. 'Play the team that's in front of you. Play 'em one game at a time'. And so on.
That's all. We're just talking about the timing of Gil's return oh gawds of b-ball, have mercy on the blighted Wizards, 'Miami is a team of professionals''On any given night, any team can beat another' 'We're not the kind of team that can look too far ahead, or take it easy' and so on ...

OMG! I appreciate the thoughts behind the OP, Hands. But - since you're relatively new here - you should know that we're collectively all quite aware of the JInx factor.
Please restate your interesting thoughts later, in the DET game thread.
And now, in order to try to mitigate the JInx factor before tonight's game, I'm gonna have to lock this thread (nothing personal, hands). And I'm gonna ask you, Hands, to go outside, spin around 3 times and spit. Then stomp your feet. (And sacrifice a live chicken, if possible).
Thx,
Pine
