OT - What's With All The Single Digit Numbers?

Post#1 » by theman » Thu Apr 10, 2008 2:00 pm

Whenever I catch a Wizards game I can't help but notice how many players have single digit jersey numbers.

0 - Arenas
3 - Butler
6 - Daniels
4 - Jameson
2 - Stevenson
1 - Young
9 - Songaila

Add McGuire with Kwame and Howard's #5 jersey.

We just need to draft a number 7 and we're set. Or cut Pecherov in half.

and don't forget how much money Abe saved on jerseys by
having the Wallaces reuse 33 (iirc) when one was replaced by the
other.

Fascinating observation! Thanks.

I guess the Wizards will be complete when they do draft a marquee baller who can rock jersey # 7.

he ain't marquee, but #7 Channing Frye would fit the bill nicely... Or we could bring #7 J.R. Reid back from retirement so he can go in once a game and drop an elbow like he did to end A.C. Green's streak and send him to the dentist. Damon Jones would be first on my hitlist.
