GT: The Washington Wizards @ the Detriot Pistons
Our Washington Wizards @ The Detriot Pistons!
Date: Friday, April 11th, 2008
Time: 8:00pm (EST)
Who is going to win??
Our 41-37 Boys in Blue
PG: Antonio "Coach I'm Hurtin'" Daniels
SG: DeShawn "I'm Going to Piss In Your Face" Stevenson
SF: Caron "I'm Going to Dunk On Yo Mutha" Butler, 2 Time All-star
PF: Cap. Antawn "Mutha Flippin'" Jamison, 2 Time All-Star
C: Brendan "Will I Show Up?" Haywood
Honorable Mention:
Gilbert "Nacho" Arenas He loves to play against Chauncey, and we know that for some reason, the Pistons as a whole can't guard him (Why? I don't know). He might go for 30 off the bench, or at least 25.
or those 55-23 Mo-Town Broken Car Parts.
PG: Chauncey "I Don't Want No Part Of Arenas!" Billups
SG: Richard "R.I.P." Hamilton
SF: Tayshaun Prince "of Queens"
PF: Antonio "Half-a-Player" McDyess
C: Rasheed T. Wallace
Honorable Mention:
Jarvis Hayes He will want a piece of our pie, so let's make sure he stay's a Starvis Hayes and not be fed.
Matchup of the Night:
Antawn Jamison/Brendan Haywood v. Rasheed Technical Wallace
Whoever guards Sheed can't let him get those open 3's. If we're going to win this tough game, we CANNOT afford to let those happen with ease, as has been the case for years now. PERIMETER D is vital, and even our big men need to help out out there, especially against the likes of Wallace (unless he gets ejected, of course).
X-Factor(s) for our Wizards:
Darius Songaila
What has happened to this man? He has been beasty beyond his normal capabilities, and better yet, CONSISTANT! I hope he can keep it up and give us efficient double digits off the bench like he has been doing as of late.
Games of the Day:
IND @ PHI on 4/11
NJN @ TOR on 4/9
CLE @ CHI @ on 4/11
Net's are horrible, but Indiana has been playing well since JO's return (Or better). Still look for Philly and Tornoto to win, though. Meanwhile, Chicago plays Cleveland well, so my money's on the Bulls against LeBron's Traveling Circus.
--------------------------
Can we pull this one out? This will be a tougher game than the Celtics game because we're in Det, but we have the capability of winning, so my money is still on us. This might just even be a blow-out if we catch the Pistons flat-footed, as the Sixers did on Wednesday to them.

I could see them coming out with some intensity trying to take it to the Wizards.
Even if the Pistons play their starters, Gilbert should rest and play against the Sixers.

I'll be surprised if GA doesn't play. He may not play much but I expect him to play. 10 minutes min.
That is unless he report anything to the trainer regarding not feeling good after the last game.
Seeing what we did to Boston, I doubt DET risks the same failure. They will probably play the starters just enough to keep them warm.
Better to play the 2nd unit most the game and loose then to go at us full force and loss.

Just wanted to note:
-- Comcast SportsNet is gonna cover the Caps playoff game live. (good decision).
According to my guide - for us DirecTV guys, the game will be on Channel 660 live.
Or catch the delayed broadcast at 11 p.m. on CSN.

Also, Detroit might love for the Wizards to win out, get fourth over Cleveland, and face the Cavs with homecourt in the playoffs. The Pistons don't want to see Lebron in the playoffs.
It would seem going in the Wizards have all the incentive to win and Detroit does not.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

True
We have to get all the help we can. We have a much harder road then Phili or CLE. The big game will definitely be the head to head with Pilly. That should be a dog fight.
I honestly haven't watched them except the few games we played them. What kind of team are they? I get the impression they are athletic like ATL which is a concern. But now that we have another athletic star in GA back, we should do better against those kind of teams.

Soup's Uncle wrote:Philly to me seems like a scrappy team that gets scoring from unlikely people...like John Salmons & Willie Green. Andre Iguodala is a stud & Andre Miller plays like an All Star against us.
I thought Salmons was with Sacramento now. In any event, Philly is a scrappy team that beat us this year primarily with their press. They really pressed us hard when Daniels was not in the game because our lack of ballhandlers. Gil should help in this regard. I think he will make them pay for playing us so tight....that is, if Gil plays and plays agressive, which are unknowns at this point in time.
