Just want to get an early post in here that I am still anti-EJ. Sure, I may be about 10% as fanatical about it as many others, but I'm still on this side of the fence just the same.

I still won't hesitate to post in the EJ Appreciation Thread the things I like about the man.
In the regular season he coached a few great games.
I want the man to do the same in the playoffs -- coach a few great games in post season and also at playoff time avoid the coaching like ass games
Do that and the team stay healthy, so if EJ stays this thread will die a slow death...
Maybe, some how, some way, they turn it around under EJ like Boston has turned it around with all the talent around Doc Rivers.

he needs to watch tape of how Boston defended the Cavs. Very rarely, did the cavs have an open 3. Of course, its alot easier when Boobie is hurt but after watching other teams in the playoffs, it really shows how poor of a defensive team we are.

Yeah! Boston has better defenders, and they gave Wally zero room to work rendering him in-effective.
Another thing that Doc did that EJ would never do, is that he sat Ray Allen - one of his trio.
Although Ray played 29 minutes, his shot had been off so rather than have Allen out there trying to break out of his slump, he benched him until when his FT's would be needed in the fourth. If EJ were coaching, Allen would have played 46 minutes no-matter how good or bad he was performing.

Actually, there will probably be a Part IV and V. EJ's not going anywhere and neither is the "Furious (or should I say Frustrated) Five."

Are you kidding! If the Celts had been playing EJ's offense, Ray-Ray would have scored 30 pts. and there wouldn't have been a need to sit him.

This is a very good point.
That was a ballsy move by Doc and it paid off. I don't think EJ would have done the same thing under the same conditions. Jamison could be 2-18 and he'd be in during the final minutes.

Nope, doesn't look like EJ is going anywhere at all. I think we might run out of Roman numerals before this is finished.
The best thing about being pro-EJ: You're not arguing the same side as Ji. I can't tell you how comforting that is.
By the way, let's get Rico in here more often. Of all the anti-EJ posters, he's the best by 50 country miles. [I don't consider CCJ to be consistent enough on this issue to be a true anti-EJ poster. CCJ's level of antipathy towards the coach depends mostly on whether or not the Bullets are winning or losing the instant he presses the
submit button.] Too many of the anti-EJ crowd are humorless in their attacks on the man. Rico manages to strike the proper balance between loathing and humor.

So you guys want to watch this team make the playoffs every year and get bounced out the first round but nothing should happen to EFJ, because you guys have talked him up so much that now its nothing but a save face thing to keep supporting him
Good to know our RGM fans would rather save face than support whats good for this team

Spence, in the words of Ed McMahon some years ago, "You are correct, sir!"
I'm blissfully ambivalent on EJ. Like the man, mostly think EJ the coach is stank, but that's only because he lost. Plus, his players are always injured so how could I truly blame the man for
everything?
I just want the Wizards to win, regardless.
As for how I feel about EJ as I hit submit
this time, since it appears he's not going anywhere, and since the season's history for all but four/five teams right now, I might as well like the man rather than bury him.

Got to agree with you on Rico. As much as I loathe (I meant "love" the guy), I have to admit that, while he's pretty consistent when it comes to hating EJ, Rico does it mostly on principle rather than emotion.
Yeah, and the best part is Rico can take (and give) a joke. Hey, it's supposed to be fun like that when you're on the outside looking in.
Some of the other EJ-haters are just TOO serious to take seriously.

Finally, Norv ( I mean Eddie ) is in his Show Me The Money Year.
After this year, I believe the Wiz hold an option year, so cutting him loose won't cost us dead money.
This is one of the main reasons he is still here. Next year, it won't be an issue. And if Abe doesn't sell this summer, I would be surprised if he doesn't the following summer.
So we look forward to a masterful year of EJ at his best. Rotation line ups in and out with a full roster
I expect if we are healthy, we should have another winning record if not only for the fact that we have a talented roster. Add a PG who is quick enough to defend off the bench and we should be good to go.
Should be an interesting year with GA back, NY breaking out, Etan adding vet depth up front and hopefully AB stronger and more mature. Plus, I think CB is going to show us even more then he did this year.

There's the rub GOA...at least for me. You think your opinion of what's good for the team is the right one and those of us disagree with you about EJ are only doing so because "we want to save face" and don't care about the good of the team.
Do you ever think that maybe, just maybe, you could be wrong about EJ and, that given a chance to go into the playoffs with a healthy team, he might be able to take the Zards past the first round? Well, some of us believe in that possibility and that doesn't make us opposed to what's good for the team. We just have a different opinion than you as to what's good for the team as it relates to the head coach.

This business of accusing people who disagree with your view of caring less about the team winning is really stupid. I mean, REALLY stupid.
All Bullets fans want the team to win. Anyone paying even casual attention to the game threads can detect, among the regs, equal levels of love for the team and frustration when the team doesn't win. Comedic levels of hysterical hyperbole [such as, but not limited to: declaring that the team will never win unless it does the 7 things you insist must be done -- and then typing those 7 things in 26 long paragraphs for the 9th time that week, stating that you'll never watch another game, stating that you're going to follow a different team from now on, etc.] do not indicate a greater level of passion for the team, merely a lower level of self-control and personal dignity.
Declaring that people who disagree with you about the head coach of the team love the team less is like declaring that people who disagree with you about the Iraq War love the country less. In other words, it makes you a jerkwad.

Irony at its best. First you condemn the EJ haters of taking things to seriously and not taking jokes, then you yourself go on a tirade about what was a harmless joke by me
