Blatche arrested again (page 2)

Post#1 » by Induveca » Mon Jun 2, 2008 11:45 pm

I'm down in Miami right now, and you will all be disturbed to know Andray Blatche is down here "hosting" club events. Found it hilarious, one of the flyers said "HOSTED BY NBA SUPERSTAR ANDRAY BLATCHE!". Found it semi tipsy on the sidewalk.

Amusing, but disturbing. Would have hoped he'd be working on his jumpshots.

I reserve my right to judge him until the season starts. I really don't expect basketball players, or sports figures period to be all about working out and conditioning 24/7. If this is his time to get away and do his thing, then so be it. As long as when he's expected to be in camp, he comes in ready....mentally and physically.
Even the great Michael Jordan spent time doing other things during the offseason, like gambling. Blatche is no MJ or "Superstar" for that matter, but if dude is ready come October, all is fine with me.
btw, is Party John with him?

Given Dray's partying track record (shot, busted for trying to pay a cop for sex), I don't think I'd want to be anywhere near a party that he's hosting.

(yawn)

I fully expect to see Andray in Vegas in a few weeks partying his ass off with Nick @ Nite. That's what dudes that age do. That what's dudes my age (who fail to realize that we need to give it up) do.

It's the offseason. Let the kid breath. I'll have a bigger issue if he's partying the night before a real NBA game.

I was at the club last night, and maybe 10 NFL and 5 nba dudes were there. I don't see the problem.

Kinda off AB topic, I was down at The Park on 14th Thursday b4 last and saw Kwame Brown down there. He had a body guard but was otherwise accessible and pretty cool.

BTW, The Park is a HOT spot!

Its the off season... as long as nothing bad comes out of his partying, then no harm no foul.

Not so much.

If you told me Billy Graham was down there hitting beer bongs I'd be disturbed. But people have already mentioned Blatche's track record, which makes this pretty predictable, actually.

Of course a young millionaire athlete is going to party, except I really don't want to hear about it when it's someone with a history of judgment issues and an inability to properly condition himself.

He's basically replaced Kwame on the roster IMO until proven otherwise. Young immature high schooler who makes questionable decisions with a poor work ethic and hasn't reached 1/10 of his potential. Except it's a little more frustrating since Blatche has shown more than ability than Kwame ever did.

i had had two martinis at this point so i asked her if he every shouted DAGGER in the bedroom with her.

she looked at me kinda strangely and said she had no idea what DAGGER meant.

Kwame showed very little actual talent but seemed to genuinely try every once in a while (before he was boo'd off the court).

Blatche oozes talent but doesn't seem to care to try and develop it to its fullest potential.

It's sad but at this point it seems like that's what we've got in him, and I don't really see it changing. That's why he's got value but is in no way untouchable, and I wouldn't mind seeing what his value is on the trade market while he's young and it's still "potential" and not "wasted talent".

All that said, this club stuff isn't directly related, what do you want him to do when he's not playing basketball, read the latest Harry Potter? As long as he's not pulling a Josh Howard come next season I'm OK with it.

As long as Blatche isn't soliciting tail, I'm fine with it. He's a basketball player, he shouldn't have to pay to get laid. Just host a party in South Beach!

He's young, who cares. Everyone needs a vacation...even if you get paid millions of dollars to work for half the year doing something that you love.

He doesn't get paid millions of dollars to work half the year. He get paid millions to work 12 months a year. Take a vacation, sure, then get the **** to work. Guys at his age that go from having potential and getting 12 minutes a game to the next level, get there by working their asses off during this time of the year.

He's young, who cares? Well, he's never done much to give me the impression that he does.

A basketball player who is 21 is going out in Miami. Shocking. By the way, how do you know he did not practice that day right before he went out?

I meant it as the young guys don't put in the work in the offseason...like the vets do.

You get my point, if it was anyone else I could care less. But personally, if I got shot in the damn chest after a long night of partying, busted for prostitution.......and needed to work on my game I wouldn't take the time out to fly to South Beach and host parties.

Basically, people don't use car services here. Which means Blatche is likely getting drunk off his ass and using one of he exotic rental cars drunk as hell. Just remember this post if he gets arrested yet again.
