Putting the Pistons 6th is a travesty. At worst, they're 3rd. At worst.

Everyone always sleeps on them, saying they've lost a step due to age, and they always win around 60 games and are one of the NBA's best teams.

6th?!

Dwyane Wade is looking good too, so the Heat may end up higher than this...
Help us, Obi-wan Leonsis. You're our only hope.

Wow, I just have trouble envisioning the zards doing better than anyone on this list: Celts, Pistons, Cavs, Orlando, Sixers. Heat will give them a run and so will Atlanta.

Dammit, last year was really our last chance. Damn Gilbert for screwing up his knee! Idiot.

The Heat have a trio, but no PG or Big-man....yet. Wade is looking great in Olympic play.

Agree, we just don't have the depth. McGee is a stash-away project, Pech  , Young is erratic, Brown is serviceable in limited minutes. We are just too-weak at the back-up SF,SG, & PG positions.
I can totally see EJ running the trio into the ground again this year as he tries to save his job.

I'll be mildly surprised if the Wiz finish higher than 7th and absolutely shocked if they finish 5th. Good thing this is EJ's last year.

I'm not sure the Sixers have passed us just yet. We effectively traded Roger Mason for Gilbert and Etan, with a year of seasoning to the kids. They effectively added Kareem Rush and Elton Brand. Even if you feel they improved more, we were better than them last year so they would've had to improve a heckuva lot more to be significantly better than us. I think we will be in the running for the division the whole year and right there in the 3,4,5,6 race with Orlando and Philly, and Detroit.

Once again the Wizards are victims of the MSM bias. I mean come on! We were #1 in the East at midseason many moons ago before some freak injuries occurred and derailed our glorious continuity. In fact we have the best continuity in the entire NBA! Now that were healthy and we have a bench loaded with some of the best young talent in the NBA, there's no stopping us.

We should be no worst than a #2 seed and its even arguable that we should be a #1 since Boston lost their best all-around player in James Posey. They might not even get to 50 wins this year because they have no one to replace him. Plus their desire is gone.

Detroit is old and washed up. Losing in the Conference Finals every year has to take its toll.

Philly has no shooters. Teams will just pack the lane and make them irrelevant by making them shoot jumpers. Their roster is mess with all that money tied up with non-winners like Brand & Iggy.

Cleveland just sucks. Even DeShawn The Great said LeBron was overrated. We would have beaten them in the playoffs three straight times if it wasn't for the refs and injuries. They'll also miss Joe Smith big time, he was their true difference maker.

Miami has no PG or C. Done. Atlanta lost their 3rd best player, Josh Childress. Done. Milwaukee's best player is still Michael Redd. Done. NJ traded Richard Jefferson for Bobby Simmons and some Chinese guy that lies about his age. Done. Charlotte is still Charlotte and New York is still New York. Done & Done. Chicago has the same sucky roster from last year. Done. Toronto gave up alot to acquire Jermaine O'Neal who can't stay healthy and isn't any good anymore. Done. Indiana gave up their best player in O'Neal for spare parts. Done.

This year were "ready to rule!"

After watching that video, we will definitely be #1 in the East. After all we have the most continuity in the league with a bunch of clowns. The Head Clown Eddie Jordan will definitely get us out of the first round sometime in the next decade.

Continuity baby! Five years and waiting.

New slogan should be:

Wave as the rest of the East passes us by!

:o :-?
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

lol come on guys ( magic fan here)... The Wizards will be fine this year. They had a pretty decent season last year w/out Gil... I'm not saying that you will be in the finals necessarilly, but i think you all will be pleasantly surprised. What pains me is to see a team like effing cleveland ranked any higher than 5...because of who? Lebron?? He's one guy, ask T-mac how that went. Orlando absolutly stomped them every game ( one hughes went off on us we lost) and consistently, on every rankings chart they are like 2.

The Heat don't have a trio. Shawn Marion doesn't reach his potential without a PG. As their team is constructed Marion is a bad fit. Beasy hasn't done anything in the NBA. He seems to be a chucker and I would be shocked if he were an efficient scorer this season. It will probably take him a couple seasons.

Miami is nothing special at all right now. The Wizards are a way better team if healthy. The Wiz have always been a very good regular season team.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

That's right, LeBron's just one guy. And it evidentally only takes one guy to beat a whole team of Wizards. So easy. Now that the Cavs picked up Mo Will, perhaps they'll only need four games to beat you instead of six? Who knows, but it sure is fun watching the Wizards wilt like girls in a few weeks in May and then cry like them the rest of the summer.

Owned. Again. And again. Aaaaand again. And again and again and again...
