Waiver/Buyout Prediction Thread

Post#1 » by keynote » Tue Sep 23, 2008 7:53 pm

We have our longstanding FA thread, but this would be slightly off-topic over there.
With Marbury on his way out of NY, we've seen our a malcontent vet parlay his way into the first buyout of the season. According to ESPN, MIA is already lining up to sign Starbury after the dust settles.

Who else gets to collect two checks this season? As I said in the Dixon thread, I think this is Vince Carter's year. And, with Best Man Jamison here in DC, the Wizards have a leg up--if EG wants him. Any other candidates?
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

i dont see NJ outright waiving Carter when they can get something for him.

i hope New York dumps Jerome James, Sac dumps Kenny Thomas & Minnesota dumps Madsen and/or Booth

no way nj buys vince out. More likely in a trade for expirings/draft picks like Kidd trade.
