EJ and PJ have relatively similar career records as well. In fact, I have stated in the past that P.J. was the only coach with similar experience with a worse record than EJ actively coaching.

And that's a team everyone KNEW would be bad.

I've had bladder problems since EJ was hired.

i feel your pain, here a repost....
Zerocious wrote:well, i hear the point about blaming eddie for every loss. Maybe not all games or even most games are his fault. however, i have just never been a fan of eddie, for years now i've thought him to be a weak coach lucky enough to have some superstars making him look good. i am not a fan of the princeton offence although it looks mighty good when it actually works, however it seems that after the fourth pass the princeton offence seems completed and who ever has the ball will try and attempt some heroic shot.
Ofcourse having this team lose winnable games is going to add fuel to my fire, but my voice has never changed, i didn't like him when we were winning and i dont like him when we are losing, but obviously no one is going to get rid of a succesfull coach. now is my time to speak up....

I think EJ should be able to teach this team to play average defense. That's my main frustration with him. However, don't see the point of firing him one month into the season. What will that accomplish? I think last year EJ managed to squeeze a lot out of an undertalented team, but getting that two years in a row is asking a lot. The timing of all these injuries couldn't be worse. If Gilbert gets back by January the team will be just good enough to push it's draft pick into the teens, especially with McGee and Young getting lots of minutes so they will be halfway decent midway through the season. Maybe Caron or Jamison should take a seat sometime in February and March to keep the win total down.

Makes sense. PJ always had a problem getting along with his players and eventually wears on the younger guys (see Latrell Sprewell and the choking). The Thunder were not competitive in their losses since they were blowouts and were not putting enough energy out there according to PJ. And PJ had a 21-74 record in his tenure with the Thunder.

PJ is suck. He's parlayed one fluke NCAA tourny run into a mediocre NBA coaching career. the only reason I'd hire him to replace EJ is we've decide to play for ping pong balls.

the team with the least amount of expectations in the NBA fire their coach. the team with the most amount of excuses is going to keep theirs. makes sense...

The Wizards have been playing with a lot of energy up to this point while the Thunder were not. If the team gives up on EJ, he will be fired. But it looks like guys like Jamison and Butler support what EJ is doing here.

EFJ is the wrong general for this war, he has proven for the years that he does not have a successful strategy for winning the battle of the 4th quarter.

I'd actually buy that reasoning if the Wizards were losing a bunch of close games. The fact of the matter is they haven't. The Wizards are second to last in point differential behind you guessed it...the Thunder (sounds like a damn MLS team or something). The Wiz have been getting blown out the entire season, so I don't agree with you about the "energy" thing.
And I don't really care what Butler or Jamison support...they are players on a team that sucks right now. The only thing that matters to me as a fan is the future of the team and where they go from here, not what any one or two players think.

This reasoning doesn't really work because if you've only won 1 out of 9 games, of course your differential is going to be awful. I guess this won't be as easy but look up the point differential in losses only. Even then it's not truly accurate as look at last nights game where we lost by 12! We were in that the entire game so the score doesn't really reflect how the game went. You have to use your eyes and then tell me how many games we didn't have a chance in. I can recall the Orlando game. Even the first Miami game was close until midway through the 3rd quarter.

bottom line is at 1-9 you better be at least talking about firing the coach.....you gotta change something.....sure you can give him a free pass for not having Arenas and Wood but I'd say 10 gave is a pretty good pass........I'd give him 5 more games and if we're 1-14 he's got to go.
Tonights game is winnable so if we lose this one then its a real sad state of affairs
