Wizards @ Charlotte (12/23)

Post#1 » by WizStorm » Tue Dec 23, 2008 10:50 pm

Well the Wizards are in town, and I haven't had the slightest urge to go.

This will be the first game in the post-DS starting era and hopefully will be one of many.

When: 7:00 PM
Where: Charlotte

Good of a chance as any to get an elusive victory against a struggling Bobcats squad. The last tune up before the Christmas day massacre.

so much excitement. these threads are getting smaller and smaller. I guess I'm the only one excited to see NY or Dmac get their first start. When we drafted them I remember the question was how long before they start. Some thought some season, others thought this season. Hopefully NY emerges back to his 17 ppg and takes away the starting position permanently.
I'm excited about these games. Don't care if we lose cause all a loss means is one more tweak. Haywood is now valued by the organization seemingly. McGee has seen starter minutes and his defensive stance is being changed, Songaila is playing well and against matchups that make sense for him. Etan not playing at all. AB is producing, Jamison is Jamison, Butler is gimpy in my opinion but the awesome thing is he's now playing some SG. Dmac is getting run and is our best perimeter defender. Stevenson is not starting anymore. NY has been given a two dribble rule. Gil is getting healthier, Mike James is producing closer to his good season in toronto like I thought he would, Juan is showing value, J critt we finally got after they apparently wanted him during draft process. ( or they are just saying this to make him feel wanted) hopefully the rust wears off and he's more comfortable with the system.
Overall good things are happening. There's victories in that. Meanwhile we are currently headed towards an early draft pick, unless we decide to win finally and all tweaks are done.

Now hopefully we can switch out some of our players for possible steals, get the right type of players and get the right coach next season along with the right pick.

Tankscott doesn't have the balls to take Desuck Stinkenson out of the rotation.

And for some reason, neither he or Eddie Dumbass Jordan got the memo....Songailia IS NOT A DAMN CENTER.

I assume it's because I decided to watch my first game in a week and a half, and the team is trying to tell me that that was a mistake.

Ugly first quarter. Nick Young and JaVale are never going to see the light of day. Stevenson not starting, but being the first player off the bench is hilarious and sad. I like DMAC, but I'd much rather have McGee/Blatche starting at the 5 and 4 respectively, or Blatche starting and Nick Young starting at the 2.

What do you know, Nick starts the 2nd and hits his first shot. JaVale still nowhere to be found and Songaila is still playing C.

I can honestly say this is the best season and the most excited I've been for this team in awhile. For the past year we were in the worst position, middle of the pack and Lebron's warmup for the playoffs. FINALLY we suck enough to give me hope. Finally we have a chance to land an impact rookie. I'm so stoked at having the chance to get Blake Griffin that I watch games and root for the opposing teams while hoping McGee plays well. I'm still bitter that Jordan raped us of an opportunity to take some of the best players in the league today because of his dumb "itch" but atleast hopefully after this year, We'll land Griffin or at the very least, Rubio. If theres not top two pick, I'll go back to being a bitter fan once more.

Nick needs to take less difficult shots.

We've only shot two free throws.

Forcing lots of TO's, but not getting anything off of them.

Not his best night at all. He got burned by Wallace atleast a couple times which is why DeSuck was subbed in the 1st. DMac just a little jittery.

Lol at the battle of ultimate suckitude on display. How sad that we are the team that boasts two allstars.

Nick has made just 8 of his last 38 attempts. That's a Stevensonesque FG% of 21%.

Nick is a player that needs confidence. Tankscott basically destroyed it in the past 7 games.

To be fair, everybody on the Wizards sans Butler is apparently looking to build a brickhouse tonight.
