Looks like no Caron tonight. Blatche gets the starting nod at F.

Bibby is Palming the ball all the time, no call?
I wonder why the NBA keeps this rule.

Why does this seem to play better when we lose vets to injury? I'm not calling names.

Dom has 9 dimes...what can't this kid do? He's been real consistent too. If only Tanky/Tappy would give the other young guys as many minutes.

I ready to chalk Nick up as yet another full of potential young talent that this organization has failed MISERABLY to develop.

Yeah, I know...but he's got that Kwame blank stare expression developing.

I'm worried about that as well.
And the fact that Mike James is still starting at point makes me sick.

I hope this game showed that idiot Tapscott that Dom should be the 2 and Caron should be back at his natural spot at the 3. We would win alot more games if he makes that one simple switch

dom is really impressing me, his ball handling skills are not bad at all. so he can rebound....he can make shots.....he can dribble......he can even do the dishes, as he proved tonight. his basketball iq is defenitely getting much better also. hope he's around for a long time...

Young is looking clueless and real nervous out there, he's been awful. Dom showed very impressive passing. I like him the more and more I watch him play, brings defense, rebounding, passing, and is starting to really show hiw stroke, exactly what this team needs.

Instead of questioning him, how about giving him some credit. He has managed this situation pretty dame well and he was the player development coach. DMAC looked like a younger version of CB tonight. He stepped right into CBs role only less scoring. Give EG some props for picking this kid. I also liked that DMAC nailed a few more outside shots. He just needs to add a little more range.
So sick of the complaining. All I saw was good news tonight. We actually matched up pretty well against ATL who is very athletic and probably the 4th seed. DMAC, McGee and Crit are all keepers.
Love the development of DMAC. He has come so far this year. I wouldn't say he has put it all together but he is getting pretty dame close.
Crit has come a long way also. He may be starting soon but for tonight. He was coming off the flu.
McGee was the won I was happiest seeing. He seems to have had the light go on finally. His defense looked a lot better. Much less wasted motion. He still forced one stupid shot but he mostly playing with in himself. Great sign. He looked great. Man can he get up. Be played great and Tapps gave him 32 minutes for the effort. My guess is that he will be getting more minutes if he keeps this up and I think he will. But ATL doesn't have that power center. We still have to see him do well against one of those types.
Blatche looked great also with his outside shot. Just looked smooth.
But was probably best thing was seeing AJ at SF with a Center and a PF. DSong and Blatche in the post was sweet to see. I wouldn't get rid of DSong. He is to solid. He would be a solid role player on a top team.
Basically, this game was lost at the 3 point line again. That's what makes me sick that NY isn't getting it done, and that we lost RM. Nick should be a spot on 3 ball shooter by now given his talent. He obviously isn't going anywhere this season but he needs to show some sign that he can be and NBA player instead of just having NBA talent. At this point, I think McGee has passed him in development.
The future is looking bright for the Wiz. I could for once actually imagine a team that didn't have AJ or CB on it if GA was active. I don't think that is going to happen just yet but one day maybe we package the 2 for 1 legit All Star or just clear the cap room and open some roster spots.
We out rebounded them. Ast, steal, block and TOs were all close. But they had 4 more 3's, that 12 pts plus they went to the line more. That was the difference.
I was more encouraged then I was bummed out that we lost.
Look, we had 5 young players to develop this year and of the 5, 4 have made solid progress.

We played better without Butler tonight for the same reason we played better without Arenas last season. We didn't have one guy thinking he was better than his teammates and forcing things on offense instead of playing within the flow.
McGuire is the ultimate role player.
McGee puzzles me. I love his athleticism and intensity. But for the son of a professional basketball player, his fundamentals are seriously lacking. You would think simple things like boxing out and not leaving your feet for every pump fake would be ingrained in him. Seems like Mom was more of a fan than a coach. Can we get a big man coach?
Crittenton is so unbelievably fast with the ball in his hand. If he can develop a jumper and some touch around the basket, he could be Tony Parkerish.
Young and Blatche appear to be career talent-teasers. I doubt either ever puts it all together. They don't have the drive. If I'm using young talent as trade bait, it would be these two.

tapscotts an idiot, he should be developing NY point guard skills and defending points since nick is going to playing with arenas in the line up. Instead of having nick score every night, he should have been developing Nick's cerebral game by having him play point and initiate the offense. Force nick to improve his ball handling skills under pressure and guard really fast point guards since we know arenas doesn't want to. Nick should be doing everything that deshaun did and deshaun guarded point guards with Arenas on the floor. Tapscott can't get this concept through this head which is sad. Dom is nice and fill nicely defending s/g and s/f and good complement at the s/f spot with arenas. We should be developing Nick to defend the p/g and s/g so that NY is an asset to us when Arenas is on the floor. Critt is great at the point but Nick has just as much potential guarding p/g as Critt and making N1 defend p/g's now will make him that much more valuable with Ny, Dom, and arenas line up. Critt will be a good p/g..but nick has many intangilbles that take years to develop that Critt doesn't have. We really needed to develop NY on ball defense to relieve arenas on defense against quick point guards and allow arenas use his size advantage on offense. NY is alot better next to arenas than Critt if N1 can learn to guard p/gs better than arenas just as deshaun is better at guarding p/gs. NY will give us more than deshaun on offense and forcing N1 to start at point guard will force N1 develop to increase dramatically on the non shooting aspect of the game. Maybe a better coach will see this relationship since tapscott can't. Yes DOm is in our longterm plans..but the fact that we aren't developing N1 point guard skills when we know arenas is a undersized s/g is absolutely incomprehensible. Dom is developing as a good point forward but had we been developing nick to play p/g like Hughes all this time, N1 would look great too. Blame Grunfeld and Tapscott for not making N1 closer to a p/g on defense and offense and not forcing N1 to develop into a more cerebral player instead of "instant offense off the bench which is what they seem him as now and are completely wasting one of the center pieces of what our dynasty would be with N1 defending the point and running the point with arenas on the floor. Critt starting on even getting minutes at the point..but Caron is never going to be fast enough to guard points guards...The entire season, Tapscott should have been forcing nick to make his feet faster by guarding point guards...but he has wasted those minutes on Mike James. Had Tapscott had his head on straight, he would have developed Nick into p/g s/g to complement arenas on defense. Nick's future with the wiz is to play an improve version of Stevenson next to arenas. DMAC future is at the s/g s/f spot next to to arenas. Crit is best served backing up arenas and Nick. Hopefully Tapscott allows Nick to focus more on passing and defending points guards so that he can work well with arenas and his ability to defend point guards better than arenas will make him an asset next to arenas on the court. Let's hope tapscott realizes this soon rather than wasting away our 16th pick and a years worth of loosing. AGain, have nick focus less on shooting and more on defending the point guards and point guard ball handling skills. Right now, nick's handle is very poor, he has a very slow dribble that is very high off the ground. Whenever nick looses the ball very easily when nudged because his dribble is so high off the ground and nick doesn't have a rapid low center of gravity power dribble like Critt. so its going to be hard for Young to burst pass point guards. Having NY defend and go against point guards is the best way to develop NY from here on out. NY best role should be what larry hughes was next to arenas. Dom is better defending the s/f spot. Have NY improve his p/g defense skills and make him develop p/g handles. I would have NY starting at p/g before i would waste minutes on MIke James.
