McGee still without a deal. If he signs it will probably be for close to the minimum.

McGee at the minimum > Mahinmi at his salary.

Ramon Sessions signed w/ the Knicks for a year -- $2.3m: veteran minimum....

Lot of fall out this year from last year's insane over-spending on FAs!

And last year's backup PG savior, Brandon Jennings, couldn't even get vet minimum in the NBA. Signs for $1.5 million in China.

Kevin Seraphin just waived by the Pacers. Nice guy, bad player.

Meanwhile, Trevor Booker -- to whom Ernie did not extend a qualifying offer (as he did to Kevin that same year) -- continues to motor along in his productive NBA career.

Terrific analysis from Gilbert. He's a smart, articulate & funny guy -- then again... I guess we knew that!

Watch all the way through -- his riff on Lavar Ball is very very funny!

It's a shame that Gilbert's reputation has become somewhat tarnished as a result of "gun gate" and his questionable antics on social media, he'd be a great analyst. He's a basketball junkie, lives and breathes the sport, knows the history of the game and was no slouch in his own right.

Who knows, maybe a few decades from now when he's starting to gray he could be CSN's "fresh voice".

Gilbert is better than all of our backup guards right now. He would help immediately.

What if he teamed up with Jamison and Caron or Larry Hughes?

I'd be in Heaven. That would give me proper closure for that saga  .

Starting lineup: AJ - Gilbert - Caron
Bench: Haywood - Hughes
Coach: Michael Ruffin

I'm surprised Gilbert wasn't in the BIG3 this year. Based on his IG presence, he's spending tons of time with his kids, putting them through basketball drills, etc., -- which is admirable. But the BIG3 doesn't sound like a major time commitment to me.

Perhaps Gilbert thinks it's beneath his stature? The league has marketed Iverson quite heavily, but I assume Iverson negotiated a different deal than Kwame Brown did. The league does feature some great retired players -- your Jermaine O'Neals and Chauncey Billupses -- but no one that, say, had their own signature shoe. Gilbert at his peak probably had a higher Q-rating than any of those guys after Iverson. Perhaps he doesn't want to be out there getting shown up by Moochie Norris and 48-year old Mahmoud Abdul-Raouf while the elite players from the '00s pal around on NBA TV's Open Court. But unless Gilbert consents to a full-on serious image rehab effort -- apology tour, etc. -- he'll never get those kinds of opportunities. Not with Gungate + dumb, sexist grams + ...etc. hanging over him.

Watch on YouTube

4-years later he is a Celtic on a two-way player deal @ 25. Intriguing.
Theis, 25, has played five professional seasons in Europe. He spent the last three years with Brose Bamberg of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), also known as the German Basketball League.

The 6’9 big man averaged 9.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks and 18.9 minutes per game last season, and was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Year. Over his career, he has shot 37.1% on three pointers with 140 total attempts.

Ya, on Gilbert's instagram he said it was because of his kids and the fact that they have games on the weekends. Good for Gil.
