Every summer
around the NBA it's a time with high spirits in which teams can turn their team around with a couple of trade, just look at how the Boston Celtics turned their team around two seasons ago. At this point of the Off season most teams have completed modifying their team with trades, signing free agents and waiving away players, but which General Managers turned their team around into contenders and which ones had moves that were a little bit more than questionable.

I would have put the Cavs in the So-so category, but other than I think your rankings are pretty solid. I would make the argument that Philly had a bad offseason. They lost Miller without a replacement and they still have the Iggy/Brand dilemma. I also am not sure if EJ matches their personnel very well.

If they don't overpay for Lee, I think you have to put the Knicks in the good category, just because it would be so much better than previous offseasons.

Be sure to check your speling . People tend to have a little higher expectations of a blog than they do for message board postings.

I initially thought the same about Cleveland, but they might be a better playoff team, even if their record this year slips a little. Joe Smith or similar would be worth adding. He’s still unsigned FA, right? Are they considering bringing him back, or have they spent all their money?

Nice summaries, a lot of info in short space. I read back a ways in the blog and saw other interesting writing. Keep it up. Agree with spelling comment; I get distracted by multiple typos, misspellings, grammar errors, etc. Find a friend or relative to proofread your text, or just give it a spell/grammar check and a good last look yourself.

Rodrigo M.T., (or, RickyRubio if you prefer), do you think the Rough Riders will have a better season than Redskins? Or, is your expert opinion only limited to the NBA (as opposed the CFL and NFL?) I know I'm not that deep on the Skins any more (living in HI) and I'm definitely ignorant on the CFL.

For "a amateur writer" I'm impressed with what you say. (Just wondering ... are you a French Canadien? If so, your English is more than acceptable. Like George St. Pierre's). Regardless, I believe you know what you're talking about, RickyRubio. (Better than Charley Rosen or Mike Lee IMO!)

Now, as for how you say it I'd say just keep posting and humbly accept critiques from others and just try to improve a little bit more each post. closq has a point about spelling and the expectations of others for a blog. I know as my eyes get worse and as I'm too lazy to get a new keypad I'm misspelling (sp?) a lot of words lately. For you, I agree with closq that a spell checker's a great idea.

I love the way you get by with a few words, RR. You know it so well you can explain your ideas very simply. (Like TheSecretWeapon),

RR, I enjoyed your blog and highly encourage you to keep dropping knowledge.

Unfortunately my humble opinion just stays around basketball, soccer and tennis. Basketball of course being my forte.

I´m not French Canadian. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, but I´m also only fifteen. I like all the constructive critisicim to improve my blog. I will get someone to start reading my blog before it´s posted for sure.

Nice writing, Ricky. Lots of good stuff there, but I don't think you defend your Celtics prediction. At best I could maybe see putting them in the "So So" category. I just don't see them falling that far barring catastrophic injury.

Cleveland will only look good if Shaq is able to last, but that's a reasonable gamble.

Wow, you can't help but feel for Bucks fans right about now. First they traded Jefferson for nothing, then they let CV leave for nothing when he signed a relatively cheap contract with Detroit, then they've basically written off Ramon Session, and now they've traded Amir Johnson, who is basically a flop, but is expiring, for two years of Ukic and Delfino. They gave up 5 mill of next years cap space for Ukic and Delfino. All the while they still have Redd signed for Max money!! They, my friends, are officially a worse run organization than the T-Wolves were when McHale was at the helm. They are easily the biggest losers of the off-season, league wide.
