WizBoard 09-10 Season Predictions Thread

Ok all you know-it-alls. It's about that time. In the old Wizboard tradition, you must predict the 82 game regular season record for your Wizards. Last year was a total embarrassment as Ruzious was the only one to come within 7 games of predicting the actual win total (sorry doc, spleen's don't count). I guess we aren't as smart as we all thought we were. And sadly, because of this, the 'rock steady crew' has officially been disbanded.
Oh, just for sh*t & giggles, here's last year's predictions.

It's a bit difficult to predict anything with the Jamison situation still so uncertain though.

As optimistic as I was this offseason, that Jamison injury reminded me that I support a cursed franchise...
45-37 for me...

44-38.
EDIT: I updated this to 42-40 in light of the Jamison injury on page six.

It all depends on AJ's injury and health. If AJ is good to go for game 1 and is still the same AJ while we remain relatively healthy all year then I think we win the East and approach 60 wins if not more. Arenas wins All Star MVP and Leauge MVP

I will wait for Twan's evaluation next week before I make a prediction.

If we have relatively good health (meaning the Jamison injury turns out to be nothing and that Gilbert and Caron play roughly 70 games each), I'll go with 48-34 and a 2nd round birth.

48-34 defense is still our achilles' heel.

While my head agrees that is probably fair, my spleen thinks you should go fxck yourself...
Spleen thinks he's still cool rock steady, because honestly who beat this prediction?
doclinkin wrote:Oh, Spleen wanted me to mention that DeShawn Stephenson has looked like ass, and seems like he's sulking for loss of his boyfriend Gilbert Arenas. He's been perfectly worthless out there and if he doesn't get his act together and play regardless he should quit and give the money back, at least until Gilbert comes back and he can feed off his media scraps like some sort of remora sucker fish swimming with sharks.
Spleen is having none of it. Spleen called for 24 wins, by total accident with various midseason firings and a long dark glacier of doom thereafter.

I don't think Jamison's injury affects the record much - as we have a plethora of ways to score this season. And if he's out for a while, he should be fresher for later in the season. We hit the magic 50.
50-32

My first inclination is to say 48 wins, but that looks like it's going to be the average prediction. Historically, the average prediction is 2-3 games high (last season excluded) so I'll say 45-37. I reserve the right to change this prediction before the season starts.

Healthy, 50 wins.
Gil learns how to play defense, 55 wins, unhealthy, 19, you know the drill. But 50 is my official prediction.

45 wins. I think we struggle early on in the season but by mid season we will have our rotations set and a good understanding of the system.

Well this doesn't bode well for us.
Up to this point in the thread, the average prediction is 45 wins (44.9 to be exact). Subtract 2-3 from that and we're at 42-43 wins next season.

By my count, the board prediciton is 47.1 wins, excluding my predition. With mine added, it's 46.9 wins.
