Happy Halloween Pumpkin Carving Thread

Post#1 » by sfam » Fri Oct 30, 2009 2:47 am

A couple of folks here asked me to post my pumpkin carves when Halloween comes. I've been carving all month long, so I'll put a sampling here.

First up, my Star Wars Death Star (just got done with this a few hours ago) on a 148 pound pumpkin:

EDIT - unfortunately I don't have smaller pictures right now. If you can see it all, just right-click on the image and select "View Image"

I've entered a few in online contests occaisionally. I show them in Centreville every year at my house. The address is on the front of my website: http://www.fantasypumpkins.com. Common by if you're in the area :)

Incredible!

Thanks for sharing again this year, sfam.

Edit to add: I just clicked on the links to the "Where the Wild Things Are". Man, all of your stuff is awesome. You're just ridiculously talented.

Have you ever done any NBA/basketball themed pumpkins?

wicked cool. do you do the same with Thanksgiving turkeys? i can't even conceive how one could become so good at such a thing given the short time-frame for practice each year. ever consider doing a Wizards themed one?
