Gil, Hes just a player not the 111m man

Gil is feeling the heat. I guess he is just going to have to take it. Even at his best, I didn't think a SG playing PG would be worth that kind of dough. I'll always think of AI when I think of Gil.

I wanted to trade him while he had value before he hit the open market. I never thought a player like him was going to be worst the max money. Well, he didn't get exactly max but dame near it.
But here we are, now isn't the time to dump him. With the right players around him and the right coach he can be very productive. Never worth the cake he got, specially missing two years, but top talent isn't easy to find.

I said the same thing about AJ back when he was costing us 16M+ a year. We could have traded him as an expiring. Dude was costing us way to much. Just hated that he was at PF and couldn't D and making all that money. But again, now that we are hear, it's better the ride it out. Is is a quality guy to have on your team. Maybe next contract we get the discount on him.

But if we are going to ride out these two, we can't ride out or double down on CB. That's the issue at hand.

Gil will continue to recover and eventually light it up again. AJ will be a corner stone and productive. Keep them both. And keep MM.

Now with Haywood, we need to be careful. We can't overpay for him if he wants to stay. He is big and right now is in his peak, but he is slow footed and can't shoot well from the outside. He has about two more top years in him then he will start to fade. And being slow footed, he could fade fast.

To bad we didn't get to see more from him when he was younger. Thanks EJ. But be careful of coming to the party to late. Problem is, we don't have anyone like him if we let him go. I like wood and hope he stays, lets just hope we get a good deal on him also.
