Game Thread: WAS at MIN - 12/26/09
Where: Minnesota
When: 8:00
Wizards lineup:
PG Arenas
SG Foye
SF Butler
PF Jamison
C Haywood
Bench: Blatche, Young, Boykins
Wolves lineup:
PG Flynn
SG Brewer
SF Wilkins
PF Love
C Jefferson
Bench: Hollins, Ellington, Sessions
I still don't care much. Maybe if we win this one, I'll get mildly interested. But I won't get excited unless we win at least 5 in a row.

Re: Game Thread: WAS at MIN - 12/26/09
They said they would keep Miller out until the start of the New Year but Gil seems ok. We have won 3 of 4 and I think we have a chance to win 4 of 5 and 3 in a row for the 1st time all year.
I love that Dave Johnson said Flip had a great dinner at his house last night with the whole team and everyone was feeling great. You have the team feeling confident that they can make a win streak, everyone is bonding with the X-Mas dinner, alot of guys are coming back to a familiar place in Minny, Wood is the only guy in the leauge who completely shuts down big Al, and Gil is now trying to expose smaller guards like Flynn & Sessions so he should look great if he's healthy. Rambis knows this so I wouldnt be shocked if he put Flynn on Foye and Brewer on Arenas but then Foye or NY should go off and Brewer is too big to stay with Gil. Foye is getting more comfortable so I expect him to play well against his former team tonight and be a little aggressive. I could see a vintage Gil-Larry Hughes type show with Gil & Foye.
Lets try to jump on them early and send a message to everyone in the league who will be watching on NBA TV that this team is totally different then it was earlier and we will be a major threat in the East

Saw earlier though that a Wolves beat reporter said that Gil & Boykins are game time decisions. I wonder is that just putting them on the injury report or could the really miss the game? Again, IDK if I want Gil to play anyways if he’s going to be affected physicaly or mentaly by it because when he’s like that then he hurts us more then helps. Hopefully he’s good to go because I dont think Minny has anyone to defend him.
They also said that Gomes will be back

I think this game pretty much tells the story of whether or not to get back on the bandwagon or to jump off and blow the sucker up.
The Timberwolves rebound well but they're not a great team. I'm worried that Haywood will get in foul trouble. I'm also worried about Flynn scoring well this game. I'll be interested to see if Caron continues to play better, if Jamison continues to do well against Minny, and if Foye makes his old team pay. Washington's defense being so porous, I think they're going to have to score at least 106 points or so to win.
Hard to predict what happens, but the Timberwolves have only won 6 games and are coming off a win.

Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

CCJ, I'm with you and nate. If we don't get this one, against a 6-24 squad, I think many on this board will be calling for heads to roll (and promote Ji to head panicker in charge...wait, he already is that)

Boykins is sick and may not play. It may be good if Boykins sits this game. It will probably give Foye more run and he can go off against his former team

it's supposed to be on CSN+
but the noraml channel for that is showing a Herndon-SouthLakes

I think they want us to subscribe to NBA TV. It's on there.

Those under glass houses gotta catch stones. Oh the defensive rebounding, woe is we.
Gil's had some gorgeous dishes that Wood done bungled; Agent Zero well might make a cameo later, lookin' good.
