More dysfunctional - Wizards or Redskins?

Which of our beloved local teams is the more disfunctional in all respects: The Redskins or the Wizards? Include as many details as you wish of
---violent incidents (RIP S Taylor)
---coaching and front office turmoil
---top draft choice flops (or trades)
---bad long term contracts
---playoff chokes (or no playoffs at all)
---prima donnas
---and of course fan gouging.
It should be quite a close contest.
An appropriate first prize would be season tickets to the Nats. At least there you won't get shot.

Earlier this season, I would have easily said the Redskins. Despite a bad record, I think the Redskins are starting to head in the right direction. Getting rid of Cerrato is a big step in that direction. The coach "search" is a mess(like the Bulls situation), but I think that will always happen with Snyder in charge.
While the record of the Wizards is disappointing, I think the direction of the franchise is even worse. The stars seem to have bad attitudes. The young players with potential are not getting paying time.
I don't think Sean Taylor's death should reflect badly on him or the Redskins. He had incidents in his past, but he was getting his life straightened out.

Their dysfunction is decreasing - signing Strasburg and a bevy of off-season moves moves them in the right direction. Hopefully, that translates into more wins.

I think they are a staring pitcher or two from being a major league team.

True, but at least the Nats are moving in the right direction. Wizards? Not so much...

I'll go with the Wizards. Both teams are performing poorly, but I didn't expect the Skins to be anything at all. I expected the Wizards to be something, and it's not just that they aren't, but the way they've gone about it.
Over the long haul though, I think the Wizards have a better chance to right things: they have the better coach, and many of their current problems may have stemmed from personnel decisions influenced by Pollin's emotions. Pollin ( who I loved) is gone, and new ownership will likely approach personnel decisions in a more business-like manner. The Skins still have Snyder, and I feel like their dysfunction stems from the top.

unlike football (with some exceptions) a mid season roster can do miracles for a team in basketball. the changes are a much more immediate feel. disfunctionally in the short term >> wizards hand down. (or hands up in this case), long term i think the reds have more work to do than the wizards. the wiz are 1-2 trades away from getting into the playoffs...

Agree. Surprised not many are picking the Redskins, given the years of ineptitude.
