Why are you guys so quick to believe Peter Vecsey's story?

I'm doing a little research on Peter Vecsey-- the guy who wrote the story. According to Wikipedia-- he is known to be vocally critical of people around the league. According to this article I found (http://guyism.com/2008/05/did-peter-vec ... story.html) Peter Vecsey made up an article about Derrick Coleman having a heart attack.

According to another article he said that the Rapters were unrehearsed for a Lakers game (http://thebiglead.com/?p=5697). He said that Andrew Bynum didn't know that he was hurt.

And now, he says that Gilbert Arenas pointed a gun at Javaris and both Gilbert and his agent and Crittenton's agent disagree with the official story? I would think Crittenton would tell his agent what to say to the media. I also think that Gilbert would know better, and, ESPN even reported that the incident was probably over something else yet people are still believing this guy.

I think this deserves its own topic. Why do you guys want to get rid of Gilbert so badly that you would believe this terrible reporter so you could void his contract? I mean seriously. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets some punishment for bringing some guns into the locker room. But seriously. A lot of you are sensationalizing this just like the media is.

You might want to check out the "Gilbert Arenas: Do you want him to be a Wizard?" thread. There are many posts that question Vescey's credentials along with discussions between those who are pro and anti Gil.
