ok, so this is just pure talking on my part and toying around with espn's trade machine, but i was thinking that if you guys terminate gil0's contract then you could ship out jamison and butler and really have some cap space to make a run at one or 2 of the big names this coming summer.

washington gets:
tracy mcgrady (exp)
houston's 1st rounder this year
houston's future second rounder

houston gets:
caron butler
brad miller

chicago gets:
antawn jamison

this way you guys only have the following player's on your books for next year:
haywood (4.1 million)
blatche (3.3 million)
young (2.6 million)
mcgee (1.6 million)
foye (4.8 million)*

*- qualifying offer

if you decide not to give foye the QO then you have 11.6 million on the books, and the cap projected to be around 52 million (projected this past summer). that give's you roughly 41 million to work with.

this gives the bulls someone else to score and help noah on the boards. also someone who can hit the three which they need, for basically an expiring contract.

the trade gives to rockets a center for this year, who is expiring, and an offensive weapon to put next to ariza and brooks.

you guys also get houston's pick this year which will be no lower than 17 or 18, which is where you guys could get a serviceable player, or deal that pick, along with your own, for some more proven help to pair with one of the stars you sign over the summer (bosh, wade, or lebron).

what say you washington. would you do it?

Please post this in the official trade thread...
viewtopic.php?f=35&t=965659

The board becomes unbearable, especially in the uncertain times with every trade thought having it's own thread. Trust me, you trade will be seen and commented upon in that thread.
