NEW YORK, Jan. 13, 2010 -- For the first time the NBA will hold a nationally televised slam dunk competition - the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk-In - to determine one of the participants in the Sprite Slam Dunk, the NBA announced today.

I think this is great..and it also gives other great dunkers like Shannon Brown and Derozan a chance to compete..

Well, when you put it like that, it sounds stupid. LOL Basically they are just adding an extra round to the dunk competition except they are holding the extra round the day before the regular 2 rounds.

I'd love to see JaVale McGee slap a JVMcG sticker up at the Dwight elevation. Or let Nick YOung do his thing. Got to be something positive out of this septic tank of a season.
