My first game thread. It's going to be a lot of text because i'm just not motivated enough to do simple html coding.

12-25 zards on a 3 game skid
@
17-20 bulls riding a 3 game streak

Wiz 6-14 on the road, Bulls 13-7 at home. Bulls 7-3 last 10 games, and we're 2-8. Doesn't look good for us. However, AJ is averaging 29/11 in the last 6 games, and 23/12 in the last 6 vs Chicago.

Starting Lineups:
Wiz:
Foye
MM
Butler
AJ
Wood

Bulls:
Rose
Hinrich
Deng
Gibson
Noah

I had been thinking that none of us should post in this thread, as a commentary on the state of the franchise. But your comment was worth it. I literally laughed out loud.

And since you've already made tracks in the snow, I figured I might as well follow behind you.

If the Wizards win their next 45 games, they'd finish 57-25.

Still behind Cleveland. Probably behind Boston, too.

Yeah, but the Wizards would have the momentum!

If anybody told me the Wiz would be struggling to pass last year's win total, I would b!tch slap them and defecate in their shoes.

We are going to take this one.

DS is going to hit a 3 tonight.

AJ is going for 30 pts

We will even see McGee.

Looking for NY and Blatche to rebound.

Ennui, lack of interest, depression, and despair might answer your question. Misery loves company but this goes beyond misery. There's nothing to see here until and unless the trades start to happen. This is about as low as I've been as a Bullets/Wizards fan over 35 years. Trading Webber was a complete disaster, but this goes far beyond that.

I'm right with you on the despair. Trading away Webber, after he had a few indiscretions, pales in comparison to what we're going through now.

No. Trading Webber was much worse - at least basketballwise. The Webber trade set back our franchise for years. Webber was a 24-year-old big man superstar just entering his prime. Arenas is a 28-year-old combo guard second-tier star who will probably never be quite the same player he once was, playing for a team who's window was already closing.

We weren't going to win with Arenas anyway, so we're not really losing much.

I agree that basketball-wise trading Webber was worse, but the overall feeling of this team is just awful, particularly if the Wizards push to void Gil's contract and they are unsuccessful. Every action by the Wizards' management seems to indicate they will push hard to void the deal.

Haywood and Jamison are beasting. Right now, they've combined for 27 rebounds. The entire Bulls team has 29 rebounds.

The best thing for Webber was to get out of this town. Was for him to get away from this pathetic organization.

Ever since AJ has mixed in the drive, he has literally been a top 5 scorer in this leauge if not better. I use to hate how off the pick & roll he would instantly shoot the long jumper even when a man was right in his face and he was off balance or going away from the basket. I give Flip props for being the person to finally convince him to start mixing in the drive. Now AJ hardly ever takes a bad shot and he is one of the best combinations of inside, outside, and drive in the game. He's basically an unstoppable scorer right now and he's pulling down mad boards with it.

If teams like the Cavs wanted him in the past then I know they are drooling over the thought of adding him now. His mentality even seems different. Did you see when he was getting into it with Maxiel? Maxiel is one of the nastiest dudes in this league and AJ was basically talking to him like he was a little boy and Maxiel basically backed off. He's a beast right now

The starters play their hearts out, but if you aren't going to get anything from Young or Blatche, it's tough to win.
