Gilbert's availability has just been downgraded to "never".
Discuss.

Oh, and I couldn't sell these tickets, so I guess I'm going tomorrow.
At least I have my Acela club passes for the month. I'll probably have a couple of tall glasses of "don't give a crap" to get me through the game.

I'm a bit concerned that Flip's rotations, with 50+ minutes for our forwards and 46+ for the other starters are even more dangerous to bodily health than handguns.
And 46 minutes of Deshawn? I mean, come on, that's dangerous for the audience in a way similar to Medusa. Has a guy with a PER of '0' ever played 46 minutes before? Has it really come to that? Of course I guess he was on fire, 2-4 from the field for 6 points? When did Stevie turn into such a 'get-mine' gunner?
Lucrazi, see, this one won't get locked because it's a game thread. That's your out right there. Just start any kind of "we need tassels on our uniforms and bell bottomed shorts!" and disguise it as a game thread. You'll be able to get away with it this season.

Oh man, so it's actually a back-to-back? Right after the boys go double overtime with a near five-man rotation on 30 year old legs?
Yowza!
How about 'fan a participation' night whereby randomly selected members of the audience get to put on a jersey and plug in for a few minutes here and there?
Whad'a we got ta' lose, right?

I got my tickets, $10 each baby!
Hoopalotta, that sig is so wrong. But unfortunately hilarious.

Flip Tankscott will be sure to load Caron & AJ up with minutes until one of them is injured then we won't be able to trade them. Caron & AJ are 3rd & 4th in the NBA for minutes played.

Unless we won the last game, you know, you don't want to break our streak. Now THAT would be bad mojo...

That's looking more and more to be a theoretical rather than actual problem.

In that and with the losing, the last three coaches have been consistent.

My comment about this game: Every time I hear that word turpitude, I think and even imagine the smell of turpentine.

With Jamison and Butler logging such heavy minutes I can easily see one or both getting hurt and then the Wizards won't be able to trade them. How lovely would that be?

Funny, I always thought it was spelled Terp-itude

Whenever you think the Wizards have absolutely, positively hit bottom, they dig into their duffel bags and pull out a mining helmet, pickaxe and a shovel.

Absolutely. Whenever someone says "we've hit rock-bottom" about something I tell them, "You can't know where rock-bottom is until you start moving in a positive direction that is sustainable."

To be perfectly honest, I fully expect iron man AJ to get injured before we trade him. I keep following the damn team even though I can't see a good result coming from this whole situation -- Wizards' Stockholm Syndrome, I guess (does that make it Strickland Syndrome?)

Ha, after I looked at last night's box score and saw how badly Flip rode the starters, the first thing I did was check the schedule in hopes that we had a back-to-back today. It's like we enter this game with a second half collapse built right in. Almost makes me want to watch, just to see it happen.

Thank you, sir. You are a scholar and a gentleman. I kind of expect the Md crowd to embrace the term as a fusion of Terp & attitude...
And BTW, check out the
ACC standings, pronto. Who knows when we'll see this again? (Though I really like Coach Bennett, think he'll do great things there, I just hope he stays for a long time if the early results are an indication.)
