I'm going to miss Caron Butler. I think the reason he was traded is because he wasn't fitting into Flip Saunder's offensive schemes earlier on in the season. As for Brendan Haywood... I am not sure why he was traded. Oh well. I suppose we need to start over. Maybe it's for the best. I hated Deshawn Stevenson... but I liked to hate him. I didn't necessarily want him off the team.

I'm going to really miss Caron and especially Haywood. I wish Caron would have pulled his head out of his ass and realize he simply was not the Alpha and Omega.
DeBrick can take his "Can't feel my face" garbage to Dallas. That's about the only joy I get out of this trade. His arse will sure feel the bench burn. Sorry azz mofo.

As much as he has sucked the last two years, he was a pretty good role player his first two years here. And can you really say that the Wiz/Cavs thing with Stevenson wasn't at all entertaining?

Caron was my favorite player until last year. Unfortunately, I soured on him the last two years because he just seemed to quit trying. I still will miss him and hope he gets his mojo back playing for Dallas. Haywood was the direct opposite of Butler. Prior to two years ago, I couldn't stand him...I thought he was soft as molasses and a whiner. However, I gained a lot of respect for him over the last two years. It was hard enough to watch this team play defense with Haywood manning the center. I can't imagine how pitiful this team is going to be without him in the middle.

I'll really miss Caron and Haywood. Man this is just a sucky feeling knowing these two are gone forever.
But DeShawn can kiss my butt. **** him.

Agree. Haywood was my favorite Wizard this year. I can't imagine how poor nate is feeling.

Was fun while it lasted I guess... Peace out DeBrick!!!
Haywood's the only one I'll be missin... We won't have a guy like him in a while... On the court (his defense and leadership on D) or off the court (his humor)... Gonna miss ya Big Wood!!! (no homo)
Caron lost it when he wasn't the 20/6/4 glue guy (aka Tough Juice) anymore... Hopefully Dallas will make him that dude again...

Yeah, DeSleazy was an idiot, but he played with a swagger. If he was signed to a 3 year deal for around 3 per I'd have liked him more. He is responsible for the most exuberant DAGGER!!!! I've ever heard in my life from the Buch.

Sure it was entertaining...when he'd actually back it up from time to time. However, there comes a point when it's time shut your goddamn mouth and produce. DeBrick couldn't feel a Hitachi Class 395 run over his sorry ass.

Good luck on rebuilding, guys!
At the start of the season, I'm expecting the Wizards to be an elite team and a strong contender in the East. I hate to see this happen.

I'm okay with Caron leaving. I've generally been fairly indifferent to him. He was my least favorite member of the big three, but he was a legit all-star for a couple of years, and I can't complain about that. I'm not glad he's gone, but I'll have no problems rooting against him when we play the Mavs.
Haywood leaving is terrible. He was the one member of the team I truly wanted to retire a Wizard. It's so sad that he spent all those years shackled by EJ, only to be dealt not even one season in to having the chains removed. Sigh.
I'm so glad Stevenson is gone. The only guy I wanted gone more in recent memory was Etan, and even that's somewhat close. I hated his cocky attitude even during our best of times; the fact that he kept it up even when he was playing as bad as any rotation player in the league was an embarrassment.

Yeah, I'll actually be rooting for Dallas to drain the Lake-show come the playoffs.
All the best to the fellas, and 'The Mighty Woodsman' in particular will be missed. I bet he'll start getting some rational and national recognition with a more powerful media engine tooting his horn.

Very sorry to see BTH go. He was with the organization for a long time and was very underrated in his time here. Always gave good effort.
Deshawn? Not sure what happened with the back injury. He's a shooting guard who can't shoot above 29%, so that's kind of a non-starter in the NBA. He gave us effort and a swagger when we were good, which was fleeting.
Caron? I have to admit I'm glad to see him go. He did not handle success well and recently has been a poor teammate and gave embarassingly poor effort at times. Caron WAS a big part of the problem and needed to go. In fact, I think any sadness I feel will be gone quickly when the effort/defense we get from Howard gives the Wiz a little boost in the 2nd half of the season. I won't be surprised in the slightest.
Either way, this is pretty much closure on this disappointing, unfulfilled era of Wizards basketball.

Co-sign. I'm sad to see Haywood go, and possibly Jamison if he's traded. They both brought it.
Caron on the other hand. Later. I have no idea what's happened the last two years or so, but his skills and effort just aren't there. Maybe going to Dallas will rejuvenate him.

So how insane Stevenson is?
I remember i saw this weird preseason article when he got all that face tattoos etc. I know that at offense he became absolutly useless but how is his defense now? Could he be useful, playing 5-10mins in a game just to annoy and p*** off the Kobes/Roys etc?
Maybe this trade wakes him up too? He comes in an absolut veteran locker room where he cant pull any crap for sure. Mavs told last year allready Shawne Wiliams to stay away until they used his contract in a trade months later...
So, is there a slightly chance?

Stevenson won't give Dallas chemistry issues or a negative locker room presence. In fact, I think he was well liked as a person here. At least, Arenas sure liked him. As far as usefulness, he's done. Ever since the back injury his offense has been putrid (his 25% shooting makes Brandon Jennings look like a sharp-shooter) and his defense has been average at best. Who knows, maybe the lack of defense was an effort thing but I doubt it.

Stevenson's D is a bit better than average. His offense is just awful though. He might well be the worst offensive shooting guard in NBA history. His offense is THAT bad.
