Going to take a pass. To close to call.

Join POTG to AB, JH and AT and I expect it to look like that going forward.

Add MM and that is a nice core of players. Looking a lot more like ATL now once you add in Singleton and the rest like McGee.

A core of athletic 6-8 ish players along with a long Blatche and McGee.

If we are going to start winning, we may has well suit up Z and go for it.

Yeah, I'm not gonna touch this one either. It would be a huge insult to rank them. Everyone busted balls tonight.

My balls.

1. Josh Howard +25 plus/minus. Taking a leadership role on the squad as the veteran.

2. Thornton:Melo :: Inigo Montoya:The Six-Fingered Man

3. Blatche in the first 2 Q's. Though I could go with Earl the Squirrel who ruled the 4th.

I'll go Thornton. It's really too tough to call, but this may very well turn out to be his best game as a Wizard, so I'll throw it his way.

Great pickup with Thornton. Can't believe the Clippers gave up on him so early.

Also, thanks Josh for sticking it to the Mavs by sticking it to the Nuggets.

Thornton, without question. I just can't believe how well he defended Melo.

2nd is Blatche

3rd is Howard

Thornton was POTG for defending Carmello.

Howard was +25

Boykins and Young were both +18

Blatche had 18 and 10 in the first half. (51 pts and 23 rebounds in six quarters is just sick!)

Awesome coaching tonight. Flip played 8 guys over 20-something minutes. Oberto played 14. Thornton played 32. Flip ran all 10 guys at the Nuggets and won the fourth quarter 34-15.

AL THORNTON.

Best defensive performance by a Wizard in the last 10 years. THAT WAS EPIC. Melo always takes a dump on us. I have never seen him be bothered this much in the past.

Josh Howard, he played Anthony tough, granted he got in foul trouble and set the defensive tempo. It's great that our best players actually buy in and are athletic enough to play defense.

I'm really glad Howard is playing good for you guys. I watched the whole game last night and he's playing ALMOST like Howard circa 2006 (a little bit more chuck happy now). But the energy was there and that's what's important. Before traded he looks like he doesn't give a damn about what happens in the court, which is becoming a distraction. But now he's reenergized a lot. He should be crashing the board more (used to crash the board like a mad man, good rebounder from the SF position) but I think that will come in time.

I can't believe you guys got Thornton that guy is an amazing scorer and athlete given his head is straight. I wish the Mavs would've gotten him somehow from the Clips.

Blatche was good too. Didn't know he had so much skill in him. Deff showed some really good post moves last night.

But all in all I think Thornton should be the POTG with his defense. But take it with a grain of salt since Denver was coming off a b2b OT game. See how he goes next game!
