Uhm, I guess this is the Nets game thread, pretty much, no?

Nets just bumpa-lumped the Bostonians pretty good on the road. Don't know what to make of that, but I suppose they're coming in on a 'high', such as it is. I suppose that would be the excuse if we lost. While more pongs pinging is always nice, a loss to the Nets would be a bit disheartening for the boys.

Honestly, with this one in Jersey, I'd say it'll be two cats fighting over a fish head in a burlap sack. Could go either way and I'd expect a high intensity level. Low end clubs with pride on the line can be that way.

Key matchup would have to be Gee on Brook, especially out of the gate as you know what they'll have a mind to do.

Yes, it's a half arsed game thread. 8-)

College teams always suffer a letdown after a big win. We win tomorrow.

Wizards in -7th place, with 3 games separating -4th and -9th place. A tight race to the bottom. Wizards perhaps steal a defeat here? I love basketball, but ping pong isn't so bad.

What's the word on Singleton?

Wizards note: James Singleton is listed as day-to-day, according to the team, after spraining his left ankle during the first half against the Knicks. Wizards officials initially said Singleton was having his ankle wrapped with the hope of coming back into the game, but he did not re-enter.
:noway:

I'm back on board with close-loss tanking.

NJ needs to win two in a row. They've got the worst record sewed up. They can play well and win.

My biggest wonder is whether Blatche can keep putting up all star numbers.

 I like Ernie's honorable tanking strategy. By calling up Shaun Livingston and not calling-up another big, we can put-up some scrappy losses. Genius

I don't mind close losses for more balls, but not against this team... I'm not ready for that crap, and it might be too much of a confidence killer for our young guys...

Wiz win by 20, AB with 30+ & 10, AT with 25+... McGee better step up tonight, he has his work cut out for him against Lopez...

Enought of the tanking posts.

Who cares about ping pong balls, just win some damn games. We are not getting #1 pick anways, if so they will get injured like all the other players anyways. Its the Wizards for crying out loud, sighned pessimest Wizards fan.

Awesome playoff championship level game on right now.

Go scout the player we need to steal .... MELO

Stern needs to get Melo out of the West so he can face Kobe or Dirke in the finals.

Amazing someone can question Arenas' character and yet campaign to bring Melo to the Wizards.

Payback's a Biche.

I can't get the feeds to work, but Boynk, Ross, Thornton, Miller and Big-berto is a bit tragic of a lineup.

A suggestion on the chat room to thwart spammers: can we insert a password? We could make it something that most of us on this board would know, but others would have a hard time guessing. Something like:

What is TheSecretWeapon's first name?

Or what is Buckhantz' catchphrase?

If Blatche gets a quick third foul, I think I'm done with this one.

Hands is the mod in the chat room and can boot the spammers, but he loves them. I tried to convince him. *shrug*

I can understand McGee just getting worked on the block by Lopez, but what bothers me is that Lopez is beating McGee up the floor for alley-oops. I understand people want him out there playing so he can learn, but seriously. It's not likes he's learning all that much when he's not really putting in the effort.

Nick Young is completely clueless on the court.
