Edgar Sosa

Post#1 » by Ito » Sun Feb 14, 2010 5:50 pm

I dont watch him play anymore since he went to College, college ball is really not my thing... but how is he doing? What are the chances of him getting in the NBA? He's from my hood in new york he used to drop buckets all day in the dyckman park league in Manhattan.. im talking about 30 and 40 points light! but I know pro ball is a different and harder game im guessing he's not doing all that great since i dont hear much about him except for a few highlights here and there, anybody have some feed back they could share with me?

I like his game but struggling has been an understatement at times during his college tenure. He need to become consistent game in and game out. Your'e right in that he is talented and I belief he has a shot in the league or if not, bloody Europe.

I'm a big NBA fan, but college bb > NBA.

They actually care (more emotions), and its not about the $$.

I understand what you mean I heard the Kentucky coach say something like "the difference in college ball is that you play the games" .. Its true, in the nba you play the season and things get exciting in the playoffs in college every single game mean more and there's more drama to it cause you have all these different school rivalries and stuff.. but me personally I just haven't gotten into it but i know college ball can be really good

College basketball has bad players, bad competitive balance and, worst of all for me, little stability, so you can't come to know players over the course of their careers.

Anyone worth a damn in college sports drive nicer cars than business executives and get plenty of
'perks' (what do you think recruiting trips are for...if you ever hear those stories of what some schools do for the real top prospects...), and even the guys that suck are getting a free ride with scholarship, which I'm guessing also includes the dorm. If you think that's not worth much have them check it out for themselves when they hit the real world in a few years

Plus a closer 3 pt line zzzzz The pros are the best in the world, why wouldn't I want to watch them over players less experienced, skilled, etc

Ask a saint like Padre Pio to ask Jesus to send you a conversion moment. What's the worst that can happen if you don't believe anyways? ;) Prayer works

To get back on topic, I think Edgar Sosa has a shot at the Portsmouth Invitational tournament, where he will get looks from some scouts. He is a solid contributor on a solid Louisville squad. His decision making has improved pretty dramatically from year's past. Still, he would be a liability in this area by NBA standards. His three point shot has been on everytime I've watched him and he is very aggressive on both ends. I believe that he will have a nice career overseas when it is all said and done.

Great 3-point shooter, creates for others off the dribble and on pick and roll, aggressive defender, not much of an NBA prospect though.. Really like to watch him play
