Post anything about here about freshmen who have been playing particularly well (or badly) here.

Here are my early comments on a few guys:

Joe Jackson PG Memphis- He's an explosive scorer who will put up points right away for Memphis. Might not impress NBA scouts with his size, but has the speed and athleticism to compensate for it.

Ray McCallum G Detroit- Top recruit who decided to play for his dad in Detroit. Did not play well at all in the first two games, but dropped 16 on Miss. St. I expect him to play a lot better in conference play.

Brandon Knight G Kentucky- Doesn't have the same potential as previous Calipari guard proteges, but should still star as a freshmen. Is more of a combo guard than a point guard, and this will hurt his draft stock. Has gotten off to a rocky start.

Trey Zweigler G Central Michigan- Another top recruit who decided to play for dad in mid-majors. Looks like a star from the get go. As of 11/27, averaging 18.8 ppg and 6.8 rpg.

Terrence Jones at Kentucky is already physically imposing as a freshman. Reminds me of a less skilled Michael Beasley, both great rebounders, solid ball handlers, lefties etc... Also, Dwayne Polee at St. John's is a pretty intriguing freshman. Long, lanky, super athletic wing player. I've already heard the comparisons to Trevor Ariza, who of course played for Steve Lavin as well back at UCLA.
Jerry Reinsdorf; the undisputed king of allowing his GM's to run amok with unchecked power and ego. :king:

Deshaun Thomas is getting 14.8pts/5.4rebs in 19mpg. If it wasn't for David Lighty, Deshaun would be getting around 30 minutes per game. He would probably be 20/8 if he was getting 30 minutes. If he improves his 3, he will be one the best all-around scorers and players in the nation.

Brandon Knight seriously can't pass if his life depends on it, sure he's a great scorer but I can't see him running a team effectively.

One of the more underrated recruits I have seen is Rutgers forward Gilvydas Biruta, who is a fundamentally sound big man with a mean streak. Hopefully, he is able to carry over his production to big east play. He should be a load to handle by his junior year.
