Jabari Parker Thread

Post#1 » by oaktownwarriors87 » Fri Aug 31, 2012 9:42 pm

Where will he end up? Parker made an unofficial visit to Provo on Thursday and met with coach Dave Rose. It was the same day BYU opened the Football season against Washinton State. Jimmer was also in town.

Was he letting Rose know that he wasn't going to attend BYU, or gathering information towards his decision?

It's tough to say right now, since a lot of recruits just like to hold out and give speculation as to "where" they're going, when usually that list is actually 2-3 schools. Personally, even though he is Mormon, I can't see him in a BYU jersey, but that's just me. I'll go with KU or UNC.

Well Jabari has cut his list to BYU, Duke, Florida, Michigan State and Stanford. Ultimately, I think and want him to go to Duke. He fit's perfectly in coach K's system and it's Duke!

I think it's Michigan State, Duke or Stanford. I just can't imagine him in other schools jersey. But he can go anywhere, it's just a waste of time for him with amount of talent he has.

I think its Duke all the way, Coach K's system fits him just right even though it'll probably be 1 and done

It's still a top 5 of Duke, MSU, Florida, BYU, and Stanford.

Out of those 5 I think Stanford has the lowest shot at him and Duke/MSU have the best shot with Duke having a slight lead on MSU.

We'll find out a week from Thursday. Illinois is not on his list which I could understand a month ago. But since then, they've not only started looking like a big boy program again, but his two teammates Kendrick Nunn and Jaylon Tate signed letters of intent to play there. For a kid venturing away from home at 18, I could see how having a couple of friendly faces could ease the transition. Not sure if Illinois has the scholarship to offer after the five recent signings though.

The program had gone stagnant for a few years, it all turned around with the John Groce hiring and his last 2 recruiting classes have been outstanding

hello
Hypothetical Question: "If Jabari Parker outplays Andrew Wiggins tomorrow will he overtake Wiggins for Top Pick in the Mock Drafts?"
