Webster signs with Nebraska after a decorated career in his homeland of New Zealand and in international basketball...Is a four-star recruit by ESPN and rated as the No. 29 rated point guard in the class of 2013...Led Westlake Boys High School and coach Ben Eves to the National Secondary Schools Basketball Championships in October of 2012, scoring 24 points en route to tournament MVP honors...Paced his North Harbour squad to the finals of the Under 19 Men's Championship, where he scored 42 points in a one-point loss and was named to the all-tournament team this past year...Spent part of the summer of 2012 with the New Zealand National Team, leading the Tall Blacks in scoring three times in six contests in his national team debut...Averaged 13.5 points in the 2012 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament, while shooting 52.5 percent from the field, including 62.5 percent from three-point range...Led New Zealand with 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting in a win over Angola, including 5-of-6 from 3-point range....Made his debut with the New Zealand team at 17 years old and 35 days, which was the youngest player to ever make the New Zealand National Team in a major world tournament (previous mark was 19 years and 299 days by former Wisconsin star Kirk Penny in the 2000 London Olympics)....Topped New Zealand in scoring in pretournament competition against both Olympic qualifier Brazil (eight) and Greece (18)...Shined in leading New Zealand's gold-medal winning squad at the inaugural FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championship in Italy in 2011...also played volleyball at Westlake Boys High School...Comes from an athletic background, as his older brother (Corey) was also a member of the New Zealand national team, while his father (Tony) was a standout athlete in his own right, earning first-team All-WAC honors at Hawaii in 1983 and ranking fourth on Hawaii's career steals list before playing professionally in New Zealand...Tai selected Nebraska over Pittsburgh, Virginia, Wake Forest, St. Mary's LSU and SMU.

can't wait to see him doing work next year...my nz has a bright future with webster, adams and fotu.
