yeah, that must be kind of weird, i mean with the whole setup of a basketball court build onto a football field with that much space around you.

No matter the end result, this first half of Davidson was just inspired. Kansas is so damn clearly the more talented team but Davidson just ignores that fact. I mean, on the offensive end guys like Sanders and Lovedale are their 3rd/4th best players and they have absolutely no chance 1:1 against any of the players guarding them. But still they and every other of those kids just plays their hearts out and cherishes good plays and just ignore it when they get outplayed.

This is exactly why I pay little or no attention to college ball.

It's all fixed to assure the rich get richer, and it's as predictable as tornado waether in July. Every year, it's the same names, the same teams, the same everything.

Oh sure, every once in a while the big boys will slip up and let in an upstart, like Gonzaga or this year, Davidson.

But they never win. They never get the brass ring.

You can count on every year hearing that annoying jerk Dick Vitale endlessly gushing about which one out of the couple dozen or so elect programs has their turn this year in the finals.

It all fixed--the RPI thing, all based on totally subjective evaluations that reward the rich and assures they will stay rich and/or get richer. The elect conferences get 6 or more teams, while the midmajors are lucky if the gods of the NCAA grant them more than one. The elite programs--calcified by the system into elite status--even get to essentially play on their home courts, as I understand the Tarheels got to this year. Nauseating.

And you know what's really irritating? I strongly suspect way back when somewhere all today's biggies were cheats, were dirty. That's how they got big. And I also suspect there's still plenty of dirt going on on their parts right now--they just have the money and power to sweep it under the rug, or have perfected the process of cheating to the point they never get caught. Only the upstarts do. Every few years that useless-arse NCAA carts some hapless midmajor up to the gallows to keep the peasants in their place. Never happens to the big guys.

That's why I like the NBA. There's the lottery and the draft, and because of that the have nots have the chance to catch the brass ring that just isn't there in college ball. The athletes are better too. In college, with so many underclassmen doing the sensible thing and going pro, you essentially today have a bunch of sub-par professionals pretending to be "student athletes."

And most of all, in the pros the money is up front, not under the table.

Most people who don't like mushrooms don't eat mushrooms. Likewise, most people who don't like college basketball don't make long winded posts in college basketball threads. Life is short. I suggest you try something you'd find a little more enjoyable than posting on college basketball message boards.

Curry should of not have had the ball to begin with. He's a catch and shoot player, he should of been coming off screens for that shot.
