Im using the rivals rankings... not my personal ones.
and i thought u meant who would be freshmen in college in 2010
OK sooo College freshmen in 2010- Rivals list and summaries i guess
The list was just updated within the last week
1. John Wall (summary from rivals) - Blazingly fast with the basketball, Wall is an impeccable ball handler with court savvy. The right hander has a penchant for beating defenders with his left hand and can then counter with a terrific left to right behind the back dribble. Finding teammates on the move is his forte, but he is also an excellent finisher at the rim. His jumper is still a work in progress, but it is good enough to keep the defense honest.. He's big at 6'4 185
2. Xavier Henry- 6'6 210 SG. Great Size. Is a lefty. He is a very good shooter. Very good athlete. he'll either be at Kansas or Memphis.
3. Derrick Favors- 6'9 220 PF- Plays bigger then he is. Plays close aroudn the basket. He's a very good rebounder... maybe better on the offensive boards. muscles through defenders.
4. Renardo Sidney- 6'10 230 PF- Former #1. He is BIG. as in he often has problems with his weight and conditioning. However he is a great scorer and rebounder. Absolutely dominated the class below hims #1 for around 30 and 10 while holding him to like 2 and 5. Will probably be playing at USC or UCLA. Basically if he can controll his fluxuating weight and his emotional issues he is the #1 player in the class.
5. John Henson- 6'10- New Riser onto the top 10 list. He's very lenghty and skilled big man. Very good shot blocking ability. He's very skinny though. Think Brandan Wright with a better and more advanced offensive game.
6. Milton Jennings' 6'9 220. He pulls his opponents away from their comfort zone as he's a serious inside/outside threat. The outside threat makes up for his lack of size. Dosent rebound as well playing out moreso on the perimeter. He's already commited to play for Clemson
7. Lance Stephenson- 6'5 195 SG. Im sure uve heard of him. The top player in NYC, has a mini tv show on the internet? His nickname is Born Ready. He has an NBA body NOW as a highschool junior. He's got incredible all aroudn game. Power inside game, good shot. He is a great defender... when he wants to be.
8. Daniel Orton 6'10 260 C- the top center on the list. He's shown he's very commited to getting better. Lost 20 pounds since last year. Very good defensively and works more out of the high post rather then the low post. Has very good spin moves and left jump hooks.
9. Demarcus Cousins- 6'9 250 PF- A very big bodied powerforward. He's alrady commited to UAB. He's said to make his teammates better. He can do anything he wants to in the paint. He's a very good passer for his size, especially his outlet passing. Big impact college player right out the gate
10. Kenny Boynton- 6'2 pg/sg-- Most likely he'll be a great college player but nothign relaly special in the pros. HE has amazing scoring ability, but he is a shooting gaurd in a point gaurds body. Ive watched him 3 times live and theres really no stopping his Outside shot as it is money, even contested. However if you put a bigger defender on him you can limit his penetration. Defensively he'll handle his own but i dont think he'll ever be known for it.
Hope this helps... not too familiar with some of the newcomers to the list though like Henson, Jennings, and Orton. did the best i could haha
