The Official James Harden Thread

Post#1 » by vincecarter4pres » Sun Nov 16, 2008 6:55 am

vs. Mississippi Valley State: 24 points, 6-11fg, 0-4 3pt, 12-16 ft, 10 assists, 2 TOs, 3 steals

Hell of a way to start the season.

This guy is gonna be the top guard out of this year's draft and the top guard in college.

Harden and Stephen Curry definitely look like the best guards in America. I'd be surprised if Harden doesn't win Pac 10 player of the year.
Jerry Reinsdorf; the undisputed king of allowing his GM's to run amok with unchecked power and ego. :king:

at San Diego State - got the win 59-52:
18 points, 7-11 from the field, 1-2 from 3, 3-4 from the line, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 3 assists, 6 TOs

Got to see this one. He basically played like crap most of the game even though his line doesn't look too bad. Had a key 3 late in the game. Some very questionable decision making and dribbled way too much, dribbling into ibvious traps on numerous occasions. He was supposedly playing with the flu and had been sleeping most of the day and the day before.

He looks like he needs to invest some time in a gym and put some work into refining his body.

He looks sort of slobby - if you know what I mean?

^^^^^^^^
Agreed.
I hate too say this, but he almost looks like the SG version of Zach Randolph. LOL.

He gets his points in weird sorts of ways. I watched both those games and didn't think he had that much of an impact only to find out he scored pretty well. He's not a volume scorer though, more a junk points type of scorer.

I can't work him out yet. I think he reminds me a lot of Josh Howard.

Slippin again.
I'll update it later.
Watched the game they lost to Baylor.
I don't even know what happened.
It was tied at the half and then boom.
i went to make a bag of popcorn, I come back literally at around the 16 and change mark and they're down by around 14.
They made a few runs, including a furious barrage of 3's, drives and drawn fouls by Harden when he tried to personally take the game over, but their defense was really bad and they just never got over the hump.
I was gonna watch tonights game, but I watched the Nets game instead, which came on at the same time.
Harden dropped 40, went 6-7 from 3. I believe he had 8 boards, 4 assists and 3 TO's, no blocks or steals. Went 6-6 from the line and 14-25 from the field.
Wish I watched it, but Devin Harris dropping 47 on Phoenix was out of control.

James Harden is great! He has the mold of Brandon Roy. Great fundaments, does everything good with few or no weaknesses whatsoever.

I was a team mate of James in high school and let me tell you, he is the real deal. He can do basically everything on the court. What separates him from most though is that he's a winner. He's won in high school, AAU and now he's helped turn around ASU. And best of all, he's a real good kid.
