Who are the players who go to play in NCAA II ??
They were just average players in High School, or it's because they were playing in bad high schools ?s

One of the major differences between the two divisions is size and athleticism. Also, some players probably went to smaller high schools, or were simply in the shadows of another star player that went Division I.

Personally, I follow Division II more than Division I. I go to a D-II school, and my brother played at the school for 4 years, and started 78 games in his career. In his case, he went to a small school, and was not very big (6'9" 215 lb center as a true freshman). 6'9 is considered more average than short for smaller Division II schools. In Division I, many starting centers are 6'11, some even taller. Thats rare in Division II, unless the player lacks many skills...

a few top d-2 schools are actually better than some of the weaker d-1 schools

some players also choose to play d2 to stay closer to home instead of going across the country to play at a small d-1 college where none of your family can see you, and still receive the same free education

No he doesn't...He played for one year in Norway, but that was it..

Players who go to D2 or even D3 are also often players who are good enough to play at d1 schools, but choose to use their athletics to get them into academically higher-regarded schools as they realize they have no future in professional athletics.

Or playing time is sometimes a factor for some of these transfers. Usually the better players come in from JUCO land unless we are talking about a big time D2 program. Again, that varies. A lot of times, guys are limited because-as was said- they are not athletically on par with their D1 counterparts. It really depends what the player is looking to do. Some D2 guys are good athletes who want playing time or want to be a part of a good D2 program or are very under the radar. Flip Murray played D2 and some other athletes I can think of are Jonte Flowers, whose brother was at Wisconsin.

Jonte Flowers was an amazing player. My school got to play against his two or three times a year, being in the same conference. And I'm not even sure he was the best player on his team.
