As a Student of Seton Hall, I can tell you right now that if Hazell is getting any good advice at all, he will return for his senior season. I intern in the athletics office with Seton hall. I overheard 3 NBA scouts after a game against Rutgers say that if Hazell could only play defense and work on his shot selection, he would be a lock to get drafted.

Personally I think Hazell will never make it to the NBA and will have a solid career somewhere in Europe.

Excellent point. That is one of the few places (if any) that would accept his volume shooting. (there and maybe domestic league Italy if he got with the right team) He would also be great in China.

As for the comment from NBA scouts: (aside from the fact that I was at the Rutgers game!)

Hazell learning better shot selection and learning to commit on defense are the gaping holes in his game that make him virtually undraftable. No NBA team is going to accept that kind of volume- and his scoring instincts could land him a decent role overseas if he worked on shot selection. However, defense is going to be critical in terms of how far Hazell will go.

Jeremy is probably not an NBA player, despite my personal like for the guy and the fact that he has amazed me over the past two seasons. He is 24 if I am not mistaken, and now was the perfect time to start his pro career. He will probably not be drafted due to his age alone. I think that he will have difficulty finding minutes in Europe and should probably stick things out in the D League or Latin America until he learns how to play D.

(given the sheer dependency of Bobby G on him on the offensive end, certainly took away from his play defensively)
