Well, you're already needing a correction, if Houston's pick is not in the lottery, it goes to DENVER as part of the Lawson trade ....

And you said only team needs are taken into consideration, Denver has Jokic, Faried and Arthur, why would we select Ellenson. I'd select Murray for his outside shooting and could play backup PG....I do like Luwawu at 17 for them though...

Also, see POR selecting Poeltl over Skal, they traded for Vonlah to be their PF and have zero talent in the middle

That was a typo, my mistake.

In any case, there is a certain balance between team needs and talent that has to be taken into account, and at ninth overall, Ellenson is the most talented, in my opinion. Given your current line-up of...

Emmanuel Mudiay / Jameer Nelson
Wilson Chandler / Garry Harris /
Danilo Gallinari / Will Barton / Kostas Papanikolaou
Kenneth Faried / Darrell Arthur
Nikola Jokic / Jusuf Nurkic / Joffrey Lauvergne

... I see Power-Forward as a position that Ellenson would fit very well.

Emmanuel Mudiay / Jameer Nelson
Wilson Chandler / Garry Harris / Timothé Luwawu
Danilo Gallinari / Will Barton / Kostas Papanikolaou
Kenneth Faried / Henry Ellenson / Darrell Arthur
Nikola Jokic / Jusuf Nurkic / Joffrey Lauvergne

That would allow for him to develop at a steady pace, and allow for him to be groomed in a phenomenal spacer next to Nikola Jokic to allow Emmanuel Mudiay open driving lanes. I also am not a major fan of Jamal Murray, I am a bit lukewarm about him as a prospect.

For the Portland post, I could definitely see them picking Jakob Poeltl. That said, I could actually see Ivan Rabb rising on my chart to around five (a few Minnesotans have expressed that they would pick Ivan Rabb over Jakob Poeltl.

Very interesting how you see our lineup, which explains the pick in a way. Here's how I view the future to Denver's lineup:

Emmanuel Mudiay / Jamaal Murray / Jameer Nelson
Gary Harris / Will Barton /
Danilo Gallinari /Wilson Chandler / Kostas Papanikolaou
Nikola Jokic /Kenneth Faried / Darrell Arthur
Jusef Nurkic / Joffrey Lauvergne / Diamond Stone

We'd have a lot of crossover with WC being able to play SG/SF/PF, Barton playing SG/SF, Murray at SG/PG, Jokic at C/PF, Stone at C/PF and Gallo at PF/SF.

I like Ellenson as a prospect, but I see Jokic as the future at PF. I also see quite a few good prospects at PF in 2017 as well and this team is still a work in progress.

Also, watched the POR/SAC game and you may be right, I stated Vonlah as the PF of the future....man, I see him as a BUST so PF may be in the future for the Blazers, although there are fewer Center's in the upcoming drafts IMO.
