Re: Stillwater Big board
Simons was the 10th-ranked player in a weak class of high school seniors. I assume that committing to the same school as Donovan Mitchell is pulling a lot of weight there. He basically played 5 years of high school basketball and will be 19 in a couple weeks, so it's not like he's even particularly green relative to the average high school prospect.

He was Louisville's Prized recruit until Pitino was fired and so Simons de-committed
He will likely be a late first steal working out for a playoff team that can bring him along slowly.

Right, like I said this appears based on nothing other than the most superficial similarities possible to Donovan Mitchell (like I would've had an easier time seeing the rationale if they were brothers or something, but this is a guy Donovan Mitchell hosted on a recruiting visit). Brian Bowen was Louisville's prized recruit the year before and wasn't/isn't good.

Yep time will tell, and it's early... But the impression I get is most nba teams are big on his upside given the skillset already in place, with the understanding he needs to get a lot stronger to be a pro.
Not sure what your point is,my valuation has nothing to do with another player despite the similarities as an athlete and recruiting school etc to Mitchell such as posting a 41.5 max vert and having a +7" height to ws ratio which are similar.
The lack of tape on this kid against any real competition makes a lot of critical reviews expected but doesn't devalue him as a prospect imo.

I don’t understand why so many people are high on Jerome Robinson. Can you explain what you like about him?

46 point game against ND for starters , prototype high volume bucket getter who can also get to the stripe at will with proto size at the 2...scored in double fugures most of the college season and avg 40% from 3.
If he wasn't a lousy defender I'd have him higher.

I agree with most of that, although it wouldn't be enough for me to put him that high on my board. He looks like a guy who is athletic when he gets a head of steam going to the rim, but his first step is pretty slow and he's not that functionally athletic/explosive. I see him as maybe Jordan Crawford.

Yeah that might be all he is, really difficult to tell what kind of work ethic he has at this point, but the tools are there and teams are always attracted to role players that are potential stat stuffing 3 point shooters
