Heurter - 10's quite high. It's taken me a long time to getting around to having a good look at him, definitely seems like a quality shooter, decent size, etc... what sort of caliber player do you see him becoming that warrants that #10 spot? Are there any additional facets to his game that I should look for from him?
Okogie - I really like him, obviously very productive player for his age, great defender/physical tools, do you see him becoming much more than a 3/D sort of guy though? That's underselling him a little bit because he does get to the line, does have a bit of shot versatility, etc., but I don't see any high level dynamism on that end.
Huerter's upside is a player like Klay. There's no getting around that comparison. Probably the most beautiful stroke in the class and lighting quick release. He's more athletic than Klay was coming out, arguably on par with Gordon Hayward or at least possibility of getting there. He can finish with both hands and was very good finishing around the rim. His tools on d are good enough to be an above average defender. He also is more "guardy" than most of the other wings in the class with good vision/passing skills, also ran some PNR with decent efficiency according to Synergy (50 %-ile). Transition, spot-up, and coming off screens, all with good or great efficiency. Basically he's the complete package and he's also worked on his body a lot the past few years (go back and look how skinny he was in high school). This gives me comfort projecting strength/body gains, which could lead to even more athletic gains.
As for Okogie I've actually soured on him a little bit because there are some issues with his explosiveness around the rim and finishing. But given the **** teammates and offense he was working with at GT and his having to carry a big load, he actually held up quite well. He may just end up a 3&D guy, but I think there's a chance he could be a secondary initiator.
I'm interested to see how all these guys look and measure at the Combine. Could definitely shake up my board a little next week!
