Evans and DeRozan drop to the Bucks? Wow that'd be a tough choice.

If not James, then who should they take? I considered a PG like Price but James seemed like a better fit.

Pendergraph? Gibson?

No, the Cavaliers arent targeting Ariza. That was another poorly written and misleading RealGM wiretap headline.

The 30th pick isnt necessarily going to be the 11th or 12th man. Gibson, as a 2nd round pick was in the rotation by the end of his rookie year. Darnell Jackson is currently the 9th man in the rotation.

The Cavaliers needs are as such. An athletic swingman that can defend and a young center prospect. Cleveland mainly plays 3 small guards. The other wing with some size other than James is Pavlovic who pretty much stinks. He is only guaranteed 1.5M next year and probably will be dealt. Tarence Kinsey has been productive when given minutes but he is slight of build and Mike Brown doesnt want to commit to him in the rotation. Szczerbiak cant defend out on the floor anymore and has found a niche as a backup space the floor PF. His contract is up at the end of the season.

Despite the Cavaliers drafting 3 big men last year. 2 are PFs and unless Sasha imports a midrange jumper from Russia he isnt coming over any time soon. Ilguaskas will be 34 this summer and entering the last year of his contract. Varejao will opt out this summer. Ben Wallace will be 35 next year and Joe Smith is 33. A young Center prospect is also a priority.

For the Raptors, I personally prefer Warren, Evans and DeRozan to Henderson

Yes it would, but that would be the best case scenario.

Teague is too low, Calathes is too high and Ellington will go before Hansbrough.
If Monroe comes out I think he goes above Jordan Hill.

If we can take Jrue Holiday at #18 instead of Eric Maynor, I'm sold.

Thabeet/Holiday/Summers was my dream draft in December.

I'm assuming Holiday doesn't declare.

EDIT: Looks like he is declaring. My bad.

I like it.

DeRozan and LeBron would actually be kind of fun to watch in 2010. :-)

Nash would sign for the veteran minimum just to toss alley-oops to those guys all day long.

I kinda hope this happens just because it would be too fun to watch. Nash/DeRozan/LeBron/Gallinari would be a sweet lineup, assuming they could find a decent center that can play defense in an uptempo system.

Make a trade for Tyson Chandler?

Nash/DeRozan/LeBron/Gallinari/Chandler is actually a realistic roster that would be a ton of fun to watch. DeRozan, LeBron, and Chandler can all play defense as well, so they'd help hide Nash's deficiencies. Add in a young pup point guard that can attack the cup and play good defense, and they're sitting pretty.

^^ Realistic, assuming they can simply sign LeBron and Nash away from their respective teams. Nash is pretty likely IMO, LeBron...not so much.

Well, yeah. LeBron to New York is a realistic possibility. I'm not saying it's guaranteed, but it's not like we're saying LeBron to Memphis or Minnesota. And also realistic in that it's not Amare AND LeBron in New York, or another max free agent. I know it's no guarantee he leaves Cleveland, and if they win a championship this year, it's a good chance he sticks around, but in support of my dream, pretend with me. :-)

Nash has made quite a bit of money, I can see him being desperate for a championship now before he retires, and with D'Antoni in New York, I don't think it's crazy to think he'll sign there for the veteran minimum if other pieces are already in place.
