Just a numbers game. He will be a late first, early second depending on who declares.

'
With the way he's been playing recently, you don't think there is anyway for him to move himself up into the early 20s?

I think Markieff will be a better pro than Marcus, I just see him as a sleeper.

It is possible he goes in the early 20s, especially after the underclassmen withdrawing froim the draft. That always moves guys up a few spots.

I think Marcus is the better pro prospect. He is the better, more fluid athlete. IMO the Morris' are a lot like the Lopez twins. Marcus is Brook, Markieff is Robin.

Neither are locks for the first round and I have not heard much talk of either declaring. Thompson is a guy I really like and rhink could sneak into the late first. Hopson I'm not so high on. Good athlete, but not much in the way of basketball IQ. And he does not come up big in big games. Hopson needs another year. He reminds me of Stanley Robinson from UConn who was much more of an athlete than a basketball player.

If Kemba Walker keeps this up and pushes UConn into the final 4, how much does he rise on the board? Top 10 pick for sure, right?

Jump shooting PF, doesn't solve any of our issues or fill a hole on our roster. At least that's my impression of him. Plus I heard he has a really serious buyout issue - do you know anything about that?

We need a tough defender at SF or C, preferably one that can rebound. Given who's left in your mock, I'd take Kawhi Leonard.

It is hard to say. At this point, what Kemba does in the tourney does not mean too much. We all know he is a sick scorer at the college level and a very good athlete. What will move Kemba into the top 6-10 is proving between now and the draft that he is a PG and not a Iverson-esque SG in a PG's body.

If he proves he can be an NBA point guard, he should have no problem being drafted before #10.

I've kind of been going back and forth between a wing and a big depending on how the picks fall for GS. Leonard makes a lot of sense too.

Mirotic is a guy I could see playing next to Lee in the same frontcourt. Or sliding over and playing next to Biedrins. I think his ability to play with either guy makes him a good fit.

I have heard nothing on his buyout issues. I'll see what I can find out.

Yeah, Mirotic is pretty versatile, but I think if we're drafting a big man we wouldn't first look at an outside shooting type. Someone like Kanter would fit the mold perfectly but obviously he'll be long gone by #11.

I also really like Leonard, FWIW.

I'm kind of torn on Leonard. Some days he looks like a top 5 pick, other days he falls in love with his jumper and looks like an NBA bust. He has prototype NBA size and athleticism to play SF, but his ball skills and jumper are a bit suspect.

Yeah. I think that would be minimized in GS though since Curry and Ellis take such a high % of our shots, and we have a number of other guys who can score (Lee, Dorell Wright, Reggie Williams). He'd basically be out there to defend, rebound and score in transition. As long as his jumper is good enough that his man can't just leave him open, I think he'd be a great fit in a W's uni.

What are your thoughts on BC's Reggie Jackson? First team all acc, his main weakness coming into this year was his jumper, but he shot 42% from 3 this year. Averaged 18/4.5/4.5, didn't turn the ball over much, is atleast 6'3, huge wingspan, and is a great athlete. He also seems like a player who would fit a pro system better than a college one. Here is what Chad Ford said the other day

Also keep an eye on Boston College's Reggie Jackson. When we talked to scouts in early February, most had him as a legit bubble first-round to second-round prospect. In mid-March, virtually every team I spoke with had him firmly in the first round -- a few of them had him in the lottery. We've moved him all the way up to No. 23 on our Big Board.

Jackson has all the attributes scouts look for in a point guard. He's long, quick, shoots the ball well and is a steady playmaker. The more I watch him, the more I wonder why we didn't have him up this high sooner. He could be one of those players who skyrockets in workouts if he declares for the draft.

I don't buy Jackson as an NBA point guard. He is more of a combo guard. I doubt he declares, but if he does he is likely an early second round pick.

I think the Jazz would like Valanciunas, but I'm not sure the Kings would be interested in Sullinger (Kind of a bad complement to Cousins, two slow scorers who don't really defend) and Kanter doesn't seem athletic enough for Kahn's liking.

For the W's, love the Leonard pick at #11, think we would do with a back up point like McCamey in the 2nd.
