Not this year. He doesn't have the potential to make a team take a flyer

Re: GimmeDat's 2019 B.B.
Made a few changes. Obviously I update this thread pretty regularly, so it is somewhat reactionary, so you have to look at these rankings with that in mind. Didn't take much for me to put faith back in Reddish stock. I'm finding that whole 2nd tier still a bit of a wash, though.
Who knows what's going to happen to KPJ's stock but can't drop him too much given the upside. Just to reiterate, Jontay would be top 10 if not for my concerns post-injury with him. Little's an interesting one, I think he's shown just enough promise to hold pretty good stock, could easily rise further from here. Had to drop THT, obviously he's hit a wall lately and is looking a bit undercooked, but I love the tools so much that I still have him quite high, and am hoping he gets a bit more productive again soon. Had to give Fernando a positive bump, I've always liked him and could never really justify why I dropped him so much from last year (where I think I had him fringe lotto-ish, maybe a bit later), and obviously he's improved since then. Had to reset myself on McDaniels, he's a 1st based on his play.
2nd round has some tweaks, I reassessed what I value in a big, moved Roby up some more, thought Bidagze deserved a bump as well, he's been very good. There's still a few guys in flux; still unhappy with Grimes, not sure how you can argue him any further than the theoretical stock he had before the season started. I put Leque in, could go either way and I haven't watched any extended footage of him, so take that ranking with a grain of salt, just how I feel from what I know of him. Later down, I know Herro is a guy some really like, and he has been pretty solid as a scorer with some passing chops, but quite honestly the board's shaping up to be reasonably deep and I can't justify moving him up too much at this stage. Still giving a marginal edge to Battle/Windler in that tier of SG's, though with Battle's 3pt% dropping yet again I'm starting to question him a bit. There's not a whole lot between those guys imo.
Oh yeah, and Dort. I know the tools are real nice but it's just not all together right now. Very late 1st/early 2nd to me right now at least.

Re: GimmeDat's 2019 B.B.
Just realized I missed a few guys, Louis King for one, I meant to have Cam Johnson in there as well, think there's a couple of other names I'm missing. There's a few guys I also haven't seen enough to include - Zoosman being one, and I haven't seen Queta yet either (will do now that you had him on your board Knickstape). Will edit it when I have more than a moment.

a few more names to consider: Tyler Bey, Ayo Dosunmo, Juwan Morgan and Rayshaun Hammonds.

Re: GimmeDat's 2019 B.B.
I can’t see King nominating for this year. Yes, he’s a 5 star recruit, but he only started his college career in December and has a LOT of physical development ahead of him. He’s also quite raw in a number of areas. For me he looks 2020 material at least.

he's gonna have more college exp than Bol and Garland who are both declaring. Heck, Lecque might declare straight from HS.
he should be in. he can develop in the NBA more than he can at Oregon.

It’s possible because of the weakness of this draft and I liked what I saw of him vs UW, but it’s still hard to see him getting a first round commit. It’s so obvious a lot of his game is undeveloped, let alone the physical side of it, I think a second season is in order to lock in a first round spot for him. Like from what I saw in that game he’s fairly clueless defensively, even if some of his attacking play was excellent. Hunter last year was much more NBA ready, had a similar injury interrupted season, chose to stay on. Tillie, Culver etc, these were wings who could have nominated last year but stayed on, King hasn’t basically had enough games to my mind to be a definite first rounder and thus should stay with the Ducks an extra season at least.

i see you Hunter an raise you Knox, who went in the top 10. I don't see how Knox was more ready than what King will be at the end of the season.

Knox had a full season though with a feature program. He played a lot against close-to NBA level talent so you could gauge him better vis a vis projection-wise. He also had a few lbs on King, although I do like Kings frame to put on weight.
I’m not saying you’re definitely wrong because King did really impress me the other day, and this is a weak draft, plus there’s still many more games to play; I just think the best thing for him is to play a full college season after hitting the gym through the summer. King would not be ready for G league physically as it stands right now and putting on weight takes time for a tall guy.

disclaimer: if he doesn't think he can go in the first round, I agree, he should probably return.
but that doesn't always work out. Look at Kris Wilkes from last year who decided to return. His stock really hasn't gotten any higher and he's a year older.
furthermore, he doesn't have to play right away. but he needs to get into NBA strength and training program as soon as possible. he can develop there way quicker than at Oregon where he's gonna be taking classes half the time.

Re: GimmeDat's 2019 B.B.
I think King could go either way. He's been solid since returning, but agree he's not physically NBA ready yet.
For the purposes of the big board though, I've put a few guys that may or may not declare on there though - Lecque, Grimes, Haliburton, THT, etc. So I do plan on adding King in. He's somewhere in that 30's, maybe early 40's range.

Re: GimmeDat's 2019 B.B.
I have to watch out more for him, it was my first exposure to him that game. When you think about it logically he actually projects past a number of higher rated players in this draft. He’s basically stepped on court after a significant injury and been a decent scoring force as a frosh. You add in the size, his frame and what looks like a 3 level scoring ability and his ceiling looks a lot higher than a lot of others in this draft. I guess I’m talking myself into Clyde’s viewpoint but I can definitely see him being picked much higher next draft compared to this one which is probably why he should stay.

Haven't really had much time the last few weeks, haven't checked out the guys I wanted to (Zoosman, Queta, Thybulle and more), but wanted to update with some movements.
I left that top 10 pretty similar to last time but I really have no idea how to rank them (sans Zion).
I'm finding this quite a difficult draft to really nail down beyond pretty broad tiers as well, just generally speaking. Hopefully who declares and who doesn't makes the picture a little clearer.

Re: GimmeDat's 2019 B.B.
McDaniels and Okpala have look great recently, wouldn't be surprised if the combine helped them move up the boards. Norvell has also looked really while Tille seems to be having trouble re asserting himself. Bassey has averaged 18/14 in his last five with three games of 17+ boards. I also wonder if Ky Bowman is coming out this year, prob be a mid second with his numbers looking similar to last year.
