Sports Illustrated, NBA.com, and his own Wikipedia have Battier at 220 lbs. 10 points lighter than Singleton. Not that I ever said anything about the weight of either.

Maybe gravity works differently on the Wolves board. Or maybe he just had a big lunch before showing up at your house to be weighed and measured.

Or maybe I took numbers from the NBA combine where the heights/weights they give are official at the time they entered the league. Go ahead and look at those places for heights/weights, however. Michael Beasley is listed at 6'10 235. Shaq listed at 325. Those sure are accurate.

Apparently weight and bulk mean two different things to you. Weird, for me and Mr. Thesaurus they are interchangeable. And apparently pictures showing similar builds and listing out their official measurements are not enough to show how your opinion was wrong. Way to go uninformed "expert", way to go. Keep grasping at straws.

[backtrack]Next up, Cammo explains how just because they are the same build it doesn't mean that Singleton is as good of an athlete as Battier.[/backtrack]

Or maybe Battier dropped the weight to be able to cover SG's. ;)

You are using Battier's weight from over 10 years ago? that seems pretty relevant. I should start telling people my weight is what it was 10 years ago, because once someone writes it down, it is that forever.

There is a definite difference between weight and bulk. Anyone who watches fight sports can tell you that a guy can be roughly the same height and weight as his opponent, while being a decent amount bulkier.

Was waiting for you to comment like that, so predictable, so ignorant.

Look! The same weight that's being listed now was listed on his rookie card! But wait... I thought he weighed in at 229 a few months earlier... hmm... oh right, one is official the other is what someone wants him to be listed as.

Congratulations on proving once again how you don't "get it" and are uninformed.

There is definitely a difference between weight and bulk in sports like the UFC (another sport you try to be an "expert" on).. and it has to do primarily with cutting weight. Sure, there are guys like Kongo who are "bulky" up top and have skinny legs compared to Cro Cop, but this is basketball, not the UFC. Singleton is no more "bulky" than Battier - unless you consider having wider shoulders (his skeletal frame) to be "bulk".

http://sports.cbsimg.net/images/visual/whatshot/singleton.jpg

So much "bulkier"! This "bulk" obviously limits him from guarding SGs!

The dudes have the same build, same athleticism. Use your "bulk" vs "weight" argument on someone else - I'm not going to fall for your weak attempts to show you weren't oblivious. You are Singleton's biggest fan, have watched him more than any other prospect, and you have no idea how the dude plays or is built. Again, you're proving how I'm correct in thinking you have virtually no idea about half the guys you put in your countless mocks.

At this point, do you really believe Utah takes Kanter? I probably hope so right now so Knight drops to us. If Utah takes Knight, would Cleveland take Kanter?

Kanter is such a wild card right now that it is tough to say. Utah may take Kanter, but they may not. I keep him at #3 because I think the combo of Utah taking him and someone else trading into the #3 pick is high enough that it makes Kanter more likely to go #3 than anyone else. That said, Knight is a real posibility at #3 as well.

I would think Cleveland at #4 would take Kanter if he is there.

My thoughts:

1) Irving(Cle),DWill(Min),Knight(Uta),Kanter(Cle),Vesely(Tor),Leonard(Was),Kemba(Sac),JonasV(Det),Morris(Cha),Burks(Mil)

2) Irving(Cle), DWill(Min), Kanter(Uta), Vesely(Cle), Knight(Tor), JonasV(Was), Kemba(Sac), Biyombo(Det), Leonard(Cha), Burks(Mil)

which is more likely???

I think Utah takes Knight over Kanter, so that one. Knight just seems like so much more of a sure thing compared to Kanter.

I think the second one is more likely. Utah is a big hinge here, and if they are 100% not trading their pick, then I may change my pick here. But, I think there is some likelihood that the take Kanter and some likelihood that they move the pick to someone who wants Kanter. Also, I don't think Biyombo falls out of the top 10, which is another reason I like the second option.

Interesting that nbadraft.net now has Kanter going #1. It makes me nervous that they don't have Jonas V on their board - hopefully, it's an oversight. Does it look like he'll take his name out of the draft? What's the deadline for foreign players to opt out? (I hope it's passed.) Edit - June 13th is the deadline.

I haven't heard anything on him lately, but the last I had heard his buyout was under control and he was likely to stay in the draft. The next 2 drafts look pretty stacked, so this might be his best shot at a big pay day.

Him pulling out would help Motiejunas move up IMO. Right now there is one too many bigs for the lottery. If one pulls out, the others will all rise a decent amount. Anyone willing to roll the dice on a raw Euro like Jonas V, most likely will also be willing to roll the dice on Motiejunas.

I like their setup and focus more than DX, I just don't trust them to actually know what they are talking about. I wish John G. ran DX more like nbadraft.net. Their setup and his knowledge would be draft greatness IMO.

I do like both sites, I just liked them both a lot more 2 years ago.

I don't get how people can't have Diante Garrett in their mock drafts? Everyone has been raving about him after his team workouts.

I guess it's not that big of a deal though.

Fords on Jonas V buyout situation. It doesnt appear to be under control

A number of teams remain anxious about Jonas Valanciunas' buyout situation. As it stands right now, he has no NBA buyout in his contract and is under contract with his team for two more years.

Valanciunas' agent, Leon Rose, has hired one of the top lawyers in Europe to attempt to negotiate a buyout of his contract. While they continue to hope that something is worked out before the draft, to date, they've been unsuccessful.

If Valanciunas can't get a buyout worked out, there's a good chance he could slide in the draft.

Valanciunas has until June 13 to withdraw from the draft. But don't count on it. His team believes that even without the buyout, he's unlikely to fall out of the lottery. From what I can gather, they believe the Rockets, who are drafting at 14, are his floor.

I'd be surprised if he pulled out. Despite the lack of a buyout, all indications have been that his team would work with him to get him to the NBA.

That info by Ford is inaccurate. The club hired a lawayer to negotiate the buyout, not Leon Rose.

By the way, any chance of Dogus Balbay getting drafted in 2nd round as a defensive specialist ? Apparently he was pretty impressive in Eurocamp (Ford tweeted as much) and Daryl Morey also tweeted positive things about him. Given Texas connection, maybe Spurs or Houston might take a flyer on him

If Presti can't find a way to get either Singleton, Harris or Honeycutt, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if he drafted & stashed Jeremy Tyler... depending on the character assessment. Faried is a legit energy player who has every chance to play in the league for a while, but Reggie Evans Jr wouldn't have a chance of cracking our rotation in the forseeable future.
