I'm thinking you have Ekpe Udoh too high. I see him as a nice contributor, most likely a Carl Landry, Scola type. At his lowest, Bradon Bass? Derrick Favors is a much better prospect. He is much younger, longer, and bigger. Athleticism should at least, be a push. Greg Monroe I'd put squarely at #5. I give him the edge over Wes Johnson. Johnson should contribute right away. Has the shot from distance, athleticism to run the break, defensive upside (maybe?) to make a rotation. I think you're fine with Aminu and Davis being in the general 7 to 8 grey area. Depends on what you need. Both come with considerable risk. Haven't seen much of Vesley or Donatas (recently) to make an informed opinion.

I also think that Turner and Cousins can be interchanged. I personally put Cousins second. He's got much more upside than Turner. Turner is an ideal #2 option on your team. He can score, but needs to get better at shooting and extending his range. He's a playmaker with the ball in his hands and has a solid handle. He's got to watch his TO's as well. He will get pulled.

Here's my bigboard.

1. Wall
2. Cousins
3. Turner
4. Favors
5. Monroe
6. Johnson
7. Aminu
8. Davis
9. Aldrich
10. Patterson

Johnson way too low, and Udoh way too high. There is zero chance Favors goes below Monroe and Udoh.

Udoh is my Lawson this year, I think the chances Favors becomes more than a rich mans Perkins as low, and I just don't all that much in Wesley Johnson

Except that Johnson could contribute right away. He's got the athleticism, 3pt shooting and defensive hustle that should earn him in a lot of team's rotations. Shouldn't it depend on what teams will look for and not what you look for?

Im a big believer in drafting BPA

and if all WJ does at the next level is shoot 3's and hustle on defense thats not a player im taking over the guys above him

Eric Bledsoe isn't even a top 35 player in this draft right now
and why do you hate Xavier Henry?

he's a bit of an unknown but he's got great upside

and I don't hate Xavier Henry I just question him for the same reasons I question WJ

he can shoot, has a good nba body, isn't an idiot

but thats about it

I agree about XH. LOL at the part about not being an idiot. That's an underrated aspect.

I think you are underrating Johnson's defensive capability. If he can show he's a lockdown type of guy. How can he not at least be a Tayshaun Prince/Battier type. Don't give me any gruff about how those guys were low picks/bust picks. A lot of teams would jump at that type of player if they knew he could contribute in those areas right away.

I guess we'll just agree to disagree.

I would say Johnson is much more of a great help defender than a lockdown defender. I still think putting him below Bledsoe is insane though.

Johnson has the length and quickness to be a Batum-type defender in the league.
He is an athletic finisher in transition, great spot-up 3-point shooter, can shoot the mid-range jumper off of 1 or 2 dribbles and he is a good passer.
With some ball-handling skills he would be a better prospect than Favors.
He is in the 3rd tier on my big board with Aminu & Monroe, below Wall/Turner & Cousins/Favors

Bledsloe over Wesley Johnson is a risky pick I admit theres a much better chance Bledsoe is useless or out of the league but he also has a higher upside and Im a proponent of going with the high potential guys (add an asterisk next to this if there are character concerns)
