I know the Wolves would prefer Favors to Cousins or Wes, but I don't see NJ trading down. Favors is a great fit for their team.
Besides, would SAC really be willing to trade Thompson when there's a chance Cousins might fall to them at 5?

That being said, I can't see Whiteside falling below Alabi and Seraphin. He's still a better prospect than either (especially in terms of productivity).

I appreciate the feedback. This is just one of those predictions where I'm going out on a limb. Players always drop for one reason or another -- Frederic Weis, Dejuan Blair, Deandre Jordan. I think Whiteside may be that guy this year.

If the Kings trade Thompson to move up to the 3rd pick, they'll be picking Favors, not Cousins.

Why do you see Hayward going so high? He seems pretty limited to me.
I tend to agree with the others here that Favors may go before Cousins.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

why's everybody going to motiejunas to indiana now..
if anything, new orleans would be tempted to get him more, with songaila there, another lithuanian, he'd be able to teach him a few things.

I don't like him either. I'm just going by what's reported on that one, and apparently a lot of people like him.
I think Cousins is the pick for Sac. Gives them that space eating 5 that they need. They have a lot to work with at the 4 with Landry, Nocioni, and Greene.

I was rolling with the theory that they're building for 2011.

Re: Dr. K, Mocktologist (Tr)
The NJ-SAC part is not very realistic but otherwise I like it...Hayward seems high, Whiteside low though.
George @ 16 would be pretty cool, I think.
I bet he'll go in the lottery, maybe even before Henry, though.

I think Alabi is going to be that guy this year. He doesn't have the right skills to offset how raw he is.

I don't think so. If anything, I think he may be a riser. He's got a nice 15-18 foot shot and the early report is that he's looked good in workouts.
At the combine today apparently Whiteside gave some odd responses to questions.
I'm sticking to my guns.

Based on workouts I wouldn't be surprised if Henry goes in the 20s and George and Hayward end up in the lottery. George has been looking much more impressive in head to head workouts with Henry. Bradley has a chance to go in the lottery also. I think Whiteside slides out of the lottery at least.
Trade S. Jackson soon. NJ seems like a nice place for him.

Re: Dr. K, Mocktologist (Tr)
As a Nets fan, I would be happy to trade down if it included an asset or two, ESPECIALLY if the guy I feel we should target (Cousins) is still there at #5. More likely if we trade down, though, is that the Nets' FO seeks out wherever Aminu lands (Thorn is super-high on him), along with cap savings and youth assets.
Some people really have a way with words. Other people... not... have... way.

Eesh. I would be pretty disgusted if the Wolves stayed pat and ended up with that draft.

Me too. It's not what I want to happen, just more or less what I think would happen. It's hard enough making the mock, that I'm not even going to try and predict the number of trades that are surely going to be going down. There's no way the Wolves stand pat here, but this is there starting point until they do.

Re: Dr. K, Mocktologist (Tr)
I'm just sayin' is all. I suppose I just hope that you're either wrong, or the Wolves do the smart thing and do some wheelin' dealin.'
I still say I don't understand why Hayward goes that high, although I've read a few mocks with him in the teens; color me totally confused. I could also see Sanders going higher than this.
