Sorry i didn't update the 6th mock, i was too depressed at the idea of my team taking Wes Johnson with the 3rd pick. The numbers are the difference from this final mock and his original Mock 1. He also talked about pretty much every single team wanting to trade down. Lets see how accurate this ends up.

Def some questionable moves. I'm sure he got his reasons, theres gotta be some sources making him make these ratings.

I think its possible the Sixers might not go for Turner. Collins will definitely have his say and the talk about them liking Evan was before he got the job so who knows.

The idea that the Nets will draft Wes Johnsons 3rd is lunacy though, he didn;t actually make that pick in the mock.

Yah. I think it's based on rumors that Bird has fallen love with the idea of Hayward. Somehow that rumor boosts Hayward's status so much. It's an absurd game that Ford is playing, and I have no idea what the rules are.

This mock is a picture of the current time during the draft process. It's the same way every year. Does it really matter whether this mock is accurate?

Chad has stated that only the day before or days before the draft does his mock tighten up regarding accuracy. Chad is very plugged in and at this point in his career is much better about filtering information.

We need something to discuss this time of year, let this mock serve as the impetus.

I love how Patterson is lauded for staying an extra year at Kentucky by NBA personnel, measures in at near prototypical size for a power forward and the result is a huge drop in Chad's mock, which I am assuming is a result of NBA personnel feed back. The more a team knows about you the lower you are sure to be drafted in this era.

Patterson could easily become one of the biggest steals of this draft if he gets drafted in the range I'm assuming he will.

Why he has Sacto taking a SF, not even one that could play SG, is beyond me. Yeah, thats what we need.

He's going by what NBA people are telling him at the time. I would think his mock draft would be a lot different if it were based on what he would do. I don't 100% believe in Ford, but he's not a bad source and considering the NBA Draft isn't as mainstream as the NFL Draft, I'll take what I can get from his mocks and other insider info.

He had Patterson fall before the measurements in Chicago. Its mostly because he has other guys shooting up the charts then bad feedback on Patterson imo.

Well I agree that there's no way in heck that they take Aminu. We are about 6 deep at SF with Donte Greene and Casspi will grow into very good role players.

Passing on Cousins though could happen. The Kings are just as more deep at the 3-4-5 than they are at at the 2. A consistent outside shooter became their biggest need when they traded their best shooter in KMart. They were abused by the other teams who began to crowd the paint to defend because their shooters couldn't hit jumpers to open it. All of their vets are up and down so they might have to go with a shooter at 5.

How well did Ford do last year with his final mock compare to the actual draft?

He got eight of the first ten picks right. He thought the Warriors would take Hill and the Knicks would take Curry though.

Ford is the best draft reporter out there. He has more inside info than anyone else and he is very transparent as far as acknowledging the holes in the system. Everyone just wants to complain because he is feeding them info they don't want to hear. Its like in 2005 when he was the first to float the idea that the Jazz like Deron Williams better than the--up to that point--consensus top PG in the draft in CP3. I hated him for saying it and didn't want to believe it. But gradually it came out that it was, in fact, the case.

Ford knows his stuff, and usually his info is very good. He doesn't know **** about scouting and his own analysis is pretty much worthless, but the stuff he passes on from his sources is usually golden. I would love someone to name a better source for NBA draft info.

Totally agree with erudite. I don't think Ford is particularly great in terms of his analysis of prospects, for scouting reports I far prefer Draft Express, but in terms of inside info he is by far the best, he's very connected. Close to the draft he's an excellent source of information, about a week before the draft he'll often be the first to make crazy picks based on inside info (like Westbrook to OKC) that everyone thinks are wrong, but that end up being right. With that being said, at this point in the process I think he's just trying to create an exciting article, he's probably doing things like putting Favors over Turner because he heard "Philly was impressed by Favors," and figured that was enough to bump Favors up and create some controversy/buzz, even if he never actually heard "Philly likes Favors more than Turner." Personally, I just can't see Favors going above Turner, Favors seems so raw offensively, but who knows, maybe he really was super limited at Georgia Tech with Lawal and **** guards/**** system, and he's crazy impressive in workouts? Turner, in college, just looked SO GOOD, a tonne like a young Brandon Roy, while Favors just looked so limited on offense, that it's really hard for me to imagine Favors going ahead of Turner.

I've heard various sources make pretty forceful arguments that three different players are second on the 76ers' board: Evan Turner, DeMarcus Cousins and Derrick Favors. At times, I've been persuaded by all three. But now it looks like the Sixers are leaning toward Favors, according to what I was told on Monday by a credible source familiar with coach Doug Collins' thinking.

Turner isn't a great fit next to Andre Iguodala. And while Cousins is a perfect fit in the middle, the team has some concerns about his on-court attitude. That leaves Favors, who has as much upside as any player in the draft.

His measurements out of Chicago are virtually identical to Dwight Howard's -- which means he should be just fine playing center. All of this can change once players undergo individual workouts and interviews, but from what I can gather, Favors has the lead if the Sixers decide to keep the pick.

8/10 is a damn good prediction. Especially since the Knicks would have drafted Curry had GS pick Hill instead.
