1. Sacramento Kings - PG Kyrie Irving
The one surefire star talent in the draft. They take BPA over worrying about how he'll fit with Tyreke
2. Minnesota Timberwolves - SG/SF Harrison Barnes
Meh I think Perry is the clear #2 prospect but he doesn't work with Beas and Love at all who I think Kahn wants there long term. I have the Wolves trading this pick if they land here but if not, they take Barnes
3. Washington Wizards - SF/PF Perry Jones II
They're estatic to get a talent like Jones at 3. Good fit with Wall, super high upside, and probably won't contribute enough to win them much next year. Leonosis all but admitted to tanking when he was on Bill Simmons podcast - he sounded like a RealGM poster blowing Oklahoma City and Portland and talking about how if they were going to bad, he wanted to have as high picks as possible instead of no mans land
4. Cleveland Cavaliers - PF Mason Plumlee
Most underrated prospect right now. Legit 6'10 and an outstanding athlete who plays above the rim despite being a white guy, and shows good signs of a future face up game. Has some Blake Griffin in him. He's one of the few guys with 18/10 type all-star upside available here and I think Cleveland goes for the HUA (highest upside available). I almost put Montiejunas here instead for that reason.
5. New Jersey Nets - SF/PF Terrence Jones
Very productive college freshman, fits right into their lineup as a big SF. Won't take Sullinger or the Euro bigs because of Favors/Lopez, won't take a PG. I think this is 10 spots too high like Terrence Williams was, but eh.
6. LA Clippers - PF/C Jonas Valanciunas
Nice long term fit beside Griffin and Gordon. Tough rebounder, defender, won't take too many shots. Kaman's on his way out.
7. Detroit Pistons - C Enes Kanter
Think he's coming out if he's projected highly. They need a defensive C prospect badly and adding another perimeter scorer, SF, or PF would be like giving Snooki another drink.
8. Toronto Raptors - SF/PF John Henson
Would normally say another HUA team. But that's Montiejunas and we're not taking him. Probably not Vesely, I think he's done with the Euro thing for PR reasons. So I'll say Henson who is this year's 6'10 with a huge wingspan SF Al Farouq-Aminu/Thad Young pick.
9. Charlotte Bobcats - PF/C Donatas Montiejunas
They can afford to take an offense only upside player. Though knowing the Bobcats, they'll probably do something stupid like take Derrick Williams here
10. Philadelphia 76ers - PF Jared Sullinger
Another don't give Snooki another drink team. Picking another PG/SG/SF would be a disaster. A center would fit best, there's not many available though. I suppose a PF could work for long term if Brand is getting moved as soon as he can.
11. Golden State Warriors - SF Jan Vesely
Kemba is the big dropper at this point, but the Warriors won't take him. Vesely is an outstanding fit dunking Curry's lobs.
12. Phoenix Suns - PG Kemba Walker
The unfortunate truth, they need a replacement for Nash. Probably lucky to get Kemba this low
13. Memphis Grizzlies - PF Derrick Williams
They'll desperately need a PF if Zbo goes and he'll be a solid replacement, though like Xavier Henry, upside is limited. Funny that the biggest tankers of all are in the 10-14 weak picks range.
14. Houston Rockets - PG Josh Selby
No idea where they'll fit him, but I can say about that about every position for the Rockets except C where nobody is available here and Selby is BPA I guess
