I did this in the RealGM mock draft simulator, but that thing is buggier than my apartment in the summer time. Starting with the lottery, I'll fill in the rest later.

Lottery

1. CHA - Anthony Davis - no explanation necessary
2. WAS - Michael Kidd-Gilchrist - too good to pass on, even though they need a shooter like Beal
3. CLE - Bradley Beal - what a great backcourt Cleveland could have with Irving and Beal
4. NOH - Thomas Robinson - The first of two picks which should help them
5. SAC - Harrison Barnes - I could see them taking Drummond, but I think he'll clash with Cousins. Barnes would instantly become their best perimeter scoring threat.
6. POR - Andre Drummond - Portland can take a bit of risk here because they have another pick coming up. Good risk/reward spot here for Drummond.
7. GSW - Jared Sullinger - Warriors desperately need frontcourt help behind Lee and Bogut. Sullinger can provide post scoring and could even displace Lee eventually.
8. TOR - Damian Lillard - Lillard gives Toronto a point guard who can score, which is what they need. I'm guessing he's a better passer than people think.
9. DET - Perry Jones III - Throwing a bit of a curveball here. I think there's too much potential to pass on Jones here, and the "need" pick (center) may not be that attractive to Detroit.
10. NOH - Kendall Marshall - With two picks, NOH may shore up their PF and PG spot for years.
11. POR - John Henson - Given that Drummond is a bit of a risk, Henson gives Portland yet another chance to land a defensive big. If both picks pan out, Portland just had a hell of a draft.
12. MIL - Jeremy Lamb - Maybe this is the year Milwaukee realizes they need a guy who can actually shoot the ball.
13. PHO - Terrence Jones - He'll bring toughness and has versatility to play 3/4. Could be a steal this here.
14. HOU - Meyers Leonard - Houston needs a center and Leonard may be BPA here anyway. Good fit.

I like everything except Phoenix should take either Rivers or Wrotten.

13. PHO - Moe Harkless - Thought about TJ here, but Markieff has the 4 nailed down, and TJ is not a true 3. Harkless seems like a good fit here.
14. HOU - Fab Melo - Had Leonard here before, but the more I think about it, the more I think Melo makes sense for a team that needs more of a defensive presence in the middle.

While Portland's history with big men is well-known, I think it'd still be hard to justify spending both picks on them, especially if Lamb is available there.

I think Detroit would go Henson. He seems like a good fit next to Monroe.
Also i hear Phoenix likes Rivers... but could be a smokescreen.
Def agree with Sullinger going to GSW.

I don't think Henson is a true center, although he will definitely see time there against certain matchups. But full time? Not sure I'd want to put him in that role. Seems like setting him up for failure.

Hard to see Cleveland taking a power forward, a year from taking Tristan Thompson at #4. Know that he can play some center, but don't think Thompson plays center for a contending type team

You don't pass on a player in a higher tier like Robinson. If Tristan is the guy, you Use TRob as a trade piece, because other teams will want him. But then again, maybe Tristan was the mistake, eh?

Yea, thats my thinking as well. If the Cavs brass decide that TRob is the clear BPA when its their turn to pick then I think they have to take him. I like Tristan, but he is not a good reason to stop you from taking TRob if the decision is made that he is BPA at that point, which if he is then he should have a higher rating than TT considering the overall better strength of this draft compared to last years.

An analogy...

Even though you already have a fantastic hamburger, if you get the chance to have a t-bone steak you would be a fool to pass that up.


With all of that said, I dont think TRob will end up being the Cavs 4th player on their big board, but if he is I have 0 problems with the pick.
