Why would the Warriors ever take Rivers at 7, let alone take Rivers?

Asset value Rivers was a highly rtegarded prospect out of HS who under performed last year. But he is a good prospect combo guard and a insurance for Steph. If Iggy is really in the mix Philly seems like a good spot long term for Rivers.

Kemba and Beal would be an awful combo. I cant see Charlotte taking him at all.

As highly regarded as Rivers was, I would make the argument that his underperformance this year would be a red flag for teams. I just don't see the sense in us reaching for Rivers just so we have an Ellis-lite type. Rivers is nowhere near the BPA at 7 and he doesn't fit a huge need for us. The Warriors need depth at the 4-5 position more than anything because as of right now, one injury to Lee or Bogut has us starting Andris Biedrins or Jeremy Tyler. Rivers just doesn't make sense for us in terms of need, especially at the 7. If the Warriors were to trade down and pick up an asset (4/5 is preferrable), I could see it make it more sense.

What about reuniting Lamb and Kemba?

Ok cool that makes sense.

It'll be interesting to see it all plays out :)
