I don't agree at all with you board and you are really off in some players (rating Young and Vonleh over Exum and Randle is laughable, really, don't disrespect just reality).

Mine will look like, (going by ceiling)

Tier 1: Franchise players

1. Jabari Parker
2. Dante Exum
3. Andrew Wiggins
4. Julius Randle

Tier 2: All star talent

5. Joel Embiid
6. Marcus Smart
7. Zach LaVine
8. James Young

Tier 3: Solid NBA starters

9. Gary Harris
10. Jordan Adams
11. Rodney Hood
12. Aaron Gordon
13. Willie Cauley-Stein
14. Jahii Carson
15. Andrew Harrison
16. Adreian Payne
17. Brandon Ashley

Tier 4: unfinished NBA athletes w/ability to jump into the top 10

18. Glenn Robinson III
19. Elfrid Payton
20. Mitch McGary
21. Vasilije Micic

Tier 5: Skilled NBA bench players

22. Doug McDermott
23. TJ Warren
24. Kyle Anderson
25. Dario Saric
26. Jordan Clarkson
27. Montrezl Harrell
28. Jusuf Nurkic
29. Markel Brown
30. Perry Ellis
31. Nick Johnson
32. Delon Wright
33. Shabazz Napier
34. PJ Hairston
35. Khem Birch
36. Jordan Bachynski
37. Bogdan Bogdanovic
38. CJ Fair
39. Cory Jefferson
40. CJ Wilcox
41. Tarik Black
42. Russ Smith
43. Jabari Brown
44. Patric Young

NBA athletes with not NBA game

45. Semaj Christon
46. LeBryan Nash
47. Dez Wells
48. Thanasis Antetokoumpo
49. LaQuinton Ross
50. James McAdoo

I don't have Vonleh, Grant, Selden, Dekker, Austin or Walker in the 2014 draft (and I don't think is realistic to have them either).

^^^ I haven't seen enough from Dante Exam to say he is a future All-star. He has a quick step and is fast with the ball. I can see that. But I've seen a lot of players that were fast with the ball, that weren't All stars. ( Felipe Lopez, Devin Harris and even Kenny Smith, for example). If he looked like he had PG instincts at his size, I'd get it. But im not sure I'm convinced he is a PG at the next level.

To project Julius Randle as a Franchise player, at this point, is "Laughable". He does not have one standout skill or tool that will make him an NBA All-star, let alone a Franchise player. Randle's skill is his ability to rebound and Noah Vonleh is better than Randle at that. Vonleh is almost 1 year younger than Randle has a length advantage and plays much better defense. At this point, if they both continued to play at the same level, I wouldn't think twice about selecting Vonleh over Randle.

As far as your tiers are concerned, past your Franchise players, It's just a matter of preference. You seem to minimize the importance of 'size to projected position' and prefer present skills to NBA athleticism. I won't argue that.

Randle is a freak, his strength at his age is unparalel, and he has a knack for the basket, he needs to improve some things, but you also have to consider the way Cal use him at UK, he showed more in High School, he can hit shots from the perimeter.

Vonleh is a taller Tristan Thompson, I don't think he will be anything more than a fenergy guy at the next level and he probably will stay one more year at IU, they have a nice team to compete with one more year of experience and this draft is loaded with forwards.

They are not playing at the same level, Randle is another kind of animal.

Exum is not a PG, but he does not need to be one, he has elite size for the SG position, and quickness plus the ability to go inside at will, he's 18 and has the highest ceiling of the Draft.

I don't minimize size, but I consider other factors, I mean, you like Austin size, but what else? his strength level is ridiculous, he won't be able to play in the league, have you seen his legs? then you got Christon, who will be 22 by the draft and is a terrible basketball player, or Walker that is the next star in China league.

Also Selden hype is something I never understand, he is just a guy, he is not better than Qualls for example, but everybody talks about him like a top10 pick.

We'll just have to disagree on Julius Randle. I've followed the draft for years(decades). I know what a freak basketball athlete looks like. Julius Randle is no "freak" athlete. He is a quick leaper and fast straight line runner. That's it. He isn't exceptional laterally, he doesn't have a freakish vertical. He lacks the length to be be an elite PF. I don't worry about his strength advantage at this age. The rest of the guys will catch up with him by the time they get to the NBA. Unless he suddenly starts showing Kevin Love like 'skill', he will be an average to slightly above average power forward in the NBA. He does not have the 'tools' to be elite.

JMO. Any comparison I make is based on a player who played like them or had the same attributes, at the same age or level. Now obviously Kyle Anderson doesn't play like Jalen Rose the NBA player, but he isn't much different than the college Jalen Rose.

I don't understand the love for Vonleh, and maybe part of it is because his game is unorthodox. He doesn't have a refined post game at all, his footwork on offense is terrible and he doesn't seem to have good court awareness on that side of the ball. He also lacks explosiveness (which doesn't seem to hurt him defensively) and I don't know that his upside is more than a fringe starter in the NBA. I have similar worries for Payne, but I think he is more talented. Interesting big board for sure, I like seeing people's opinion on how players will stack up without considering where they will be drafted.

I watched a lot of Indiana games this year. A lot of what I see in Vonleh is projection, due to how good he is already. Vonleh is the 3rd youngest player in the draft, behind Aaron Gordon and James Young. He already has a Right Hand and Left Hand hook in the low post. He hits his free throws. He steps out to the 3pt line and hits those shots effortlessly. The only thing he doesn't do well on offense, is find the open man out of the double team. Indiana as a whole, was a terrible passing team. He doesn't look like he has the greatest feet, but he moves laterally better than Jabari Parker and Kyle Anderson, FWIW. Defensively, he can lock down and physically bully guys. I saw him throw Adeian Payne around like a rag doll.

From what I saw, He, Embiid and Parker were the most "skilled" freshman in the country.
People knock him for not being explosive. If he was explosive, he would be the number 1 pick!

He's high on my board, because I have the least questions of how he will fit in at his position, at the next level.
