Or what exactly that made this happen hehe, I mean I have him at 3 so no worries there, but still find it a bit hillarious

It certainly wasn't anything he did. More that the talk now is that both Sacramento and Atlanta are supposedly hot to add bigs at the top of this draft. And JJJ certainly measured his way into top 3 discussion at the combine. Doncic was never a lock in the top 2 or 3 for me. The first 4 are pretty eye of the beholder IMO.

heh ok, fair enough

Supposedly he has a promise there. Or so the rumor says.

I think about the only way CLE drafts Carter at 8 or any other center is as a trade piece. More in need of a JR smith shoe filler for the future. I could see Huerter, K Thomas and Mikal along with to a lesser degree another ball handler initiator pg being their top priority.

Nah..the writing is on the wall that the Kevin Love era ends with this series. Carter is a very good replacement for Love's interior game and shows promise that he might be able to stretch out as he ages

Well if that is true then it would make some sense, but having a concussion is not the likely end of the Kevin Love era in CLE. I wouldn't have a problem with Carter if they plan to move Thompson , but I don't see many takers with his contract.
I expect the Cavs to look for a wing or an offensive initiator

Like this one from the Nuggets perspective, might think about a draft-n-stash C at #58 if a decent ones available, will fit a need when Plumlee is traded or expired.

Wow, Jontay Porter just dropped out of the draft. Didn't see that coming...will be interested to see how it shakes up your draft, I know you had him fairly high in the last version.

Cammo, any thoughts on 2 players you (and everyone else) don't have listed - Ajdin Penava and Jared Vanderbilt? I haven't heard 1 word about Penava since he announced he signed with an agend in April. But he had phenom numbers at Marshall without even being featured. And granted Vanderbilt hasn't shown he can shoot at all, but his rebounding rate was off the charts, and people talked about him as if he can play point forward. Have you had a chance to look at either of them?

I can't see Penava being drafted. I haven't seen much of him truthfully, but I don't know many people who see him as an NBA talent. Vanderbilt will get a chance, but outside of his rebounding ability, there isn't much there. He was hurt a lot, so we probably haven't seen the best of him yet, but he's a big time work in progress for a guy who was a McDonald's All American a year ago.

I hear ya, even though I'm convinced Penava will at some point be successful in the NBA once he gets with NBA calibre trainers and fills out his body. There are so many facets to his game at both ends. He even blocked more shots per game than Bamba. It probably didn't help that he played on a guard-oriented offense.

Penava is definitely an NBA talent. I think he needs to be a big wing to succeed, however. He's never going to be a 5 in the NBA.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

If GS passes on Shamet, Melton and Okogie to draft Aaron Holiday I will blow my nuts off.

I'd be devastated if the the Knicks pass on Vanderbilt in the 2nd round if he is still there.

I love Kyhri Thomas, but i'm torn if i'd take him over Huerter.
