If you say so, or perhaps not everyone is as high on Doncic as you are.
I understand why some teams would think twice and possibly pass on the highest floor Doncic despite the fact that he would expedite any teams rebuild process and instead opting for incomplete but high upside prospects as the concern does exist that Doncic will be too far ahead of his NBA counterparts on rebuilding rosters that have a multiyear plan in place that doesn't include having a superstar carry them into the post season but not having enough around them to go deep into the post season, and picking him requires changing the long term plan. Even given that common knowledge and concern with transferable skills potentially becoming an issue with overseas talent, this prospect has far exceeded anything anyone has ever seen before. You can take it as the rebuilding teams don't see him as top talent, but the reality is, no one is questioning his skills that has a clue.
He can play the point guard position exceptionally well at the next level and with his size will be able to handle the defensive assignments at the 1 or 2 or he can be a play maker from the wing and a slight liability on defense.
Phoenix passing on Doncic really makes zero sense imo, and wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that's who they pick at #1 despite their reported fixation on Ayton.
